That's correct, Drew. The upper spring rubber isolator is installed backwards. The top hat faces upwards. Although you can reuse these pieces, they should be readily available.
Best,
David

Re: 330 rocker arm axial clearances
Follow-up: I had new aluminum spacers inexpensively made. Now, with the stock 1 mm thrust washers, axial clearances are now well within factory tolerances. This made more sense than having wear parts of different thicknesses. I'm somewhat skeptical that the factory paid much attention to this detail...

Re: RIP Ted Rutlands & Wayne Obry
A very sad day. Ted and I met when I was first starting out in the Ferrari world. I had called FAF looking for some Type L Dino parts. They told me the the Dino was not a real Ferrari and to call Ted. From that point on, Ted and I enjoyed over 30 years of doing business together. He truly was the pi...

Re: 330 rocker arm adjuster screw set-up
New used rocker arms received as replacements for the damaged ones on hand ... These are supposed to be for a 330, yet the ends appear different, although the geometry of the arms appears identical. And to further add to the axial clearance issues, these arms are about 0.080" thinner than the origin...

Re: 330 rocker arm axial clearances
Bill, Thanks for your reply. All of the original (?) spacers are of varying thicknesses, despite all having the same Ferrari part number. The variation in thickness is greater than 0.007" form thinnest to thickest. The best plan I've come up with is to simply machine precision spacers for each rocke...

330 rocker arm axial clearances
Per the WSM, less than 0.002" is ideal, with 0.006" being the wear limit. Although I don't doubt the viability of the spec, how it's achieved seems to be another matter. The newly provided copper-like spacer washers are .001-.002" thinner than the worn ones I'm replacing. The aluminum spacers are al...

Looking for three rocker arms...Anyone?
(I found some in Italy, but was hoping to find something a bit more local...)
Thanks

Re: 330 rocker arm adjuster screw set-up
Thanks all for the relies. The amount of hack workmanship found never ceases to amaze me. I think a Time-Sert would have been a much better repair as, at least, it would have been properly retained from the top side.

330 rocker arm adjuster screw set-up
Did the original 330 rocker arms have Heli-coils installed from the factory for the adjusting screws? Seems like a poor application as several appear to be falling out and/or off-centre.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 330 GT 2+2 expansion tank location
Clearly the late car, based on the photos...
I can see tell-tale evidence (now) of where the tank was. It looks like a few folks in Europe still sell the OEM part.
Thanks all!

330 GT 2+2 expansion tank location
Anyone have a picture of one mounted on the car/radiator? I'm working with a car that does not have an expansion tank or any obvious place to install one. The parts manual shows the tank bolted to two bosses on the radiator, yet there are none to be seen.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: 330 GT 2+2 rear shocks
The more I dig into this, the more interesting it getd. Despite both Ferrari and aftermarket suppliers listing a 27mm replacement bushing for this particular shock, the eyelets are just under 28 mm. A friend send me a photo of his NOS shocks that he purchased 25 years ago. It is clear that the shock...
