Re: 330 Salvage Yard
Tom - I have a hood catch. It's crusty but useable. You are welcome to it.

Congratulations Tom! That's fantastic news and well-deserved. Looking forward to hearing more about the events and seeing your pictures. Wish I was there to celebrate with you.

Re: Chicago Craigslist 250 GTE
That's great! Did it stay in the mid-west? Can you let us know if it sold at or near the asking price? In my personal opinion, it's not blasphemous to leave as is - I would not expect anyone except the most-devoted (and better funded) to undertake to put the car back to original configuration. In my...

Chicago Craigslist 250 GTE
http://bringatrailer.com/2012/04/14/windsor5-speed-1962-ferrari-250gte/ "Bring-A-Trailer" has picked up this GTE with a Ford small block. The body and interior look quite nice but the scoop on thr hood looks like a Lusso or Maserati 3500. Obviously, many will disagree on this, but from the three pic...

Re: 1963 GTE "Custom"
I spoke with the seller this week. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and true motorhead, although Ferraris are not his passion. From my brief conversation with him, I understand that he picked up this car some time ago as a hotrod project but does not expect to get around to making it roadworthy so...

Re: 1963 GTE "Custom"
Tom - I would love to meet up and take a closer look but I have not contacted the owner yet as I am doing a lot of travel back and forth to the east coast for the last six weeks and am not sure when I can fit it in. Let me know if you set something up and let me know when you are down this way, too....

1963 GTE "Custom"
Anybody know the background on this poor soul? http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/1602323061.html In case you might be looking for a "project," the seller emphasizes that its "not a good candidate for original type restoration!" The description is as follows: "This car started out life as a 1963...

Re: Front windshield gasket needed 65 330GT 2+2
Try Lee at T. Rutlands 1-800-638-1444. I paid $285 for a front windsheild gasket in April last year. Their service is great and they stand behind their products. Installation is tricky. Make sure to leave the gasket out in the sun so it gets good and soft. Mount the gasket to the glass and install t...

Wow! $33k with two days to go. I remember when this car was for sale about two years ago in Seattle. I think the guy wanted $17k. It was his brother's dream project, but unfortunately the brother passed away before completing it. Very sad story. I spoke with the current owner, who seemed to be a nic...

Tom: If your pictures are copyrighted, he should have at least asked permission or given credit. You could send him a takedown notice, but the Internet is a pretty toothless place when it comes to enforcement, unless you are one of the big ones. Can you post pictures of the interior? It looks like i...

'61 250 GTE Restoration Project $95k in Las Vegas s/n 2947
No affiliation with the seller. Just came across this on the Las Vegas Craig’s List. (http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/clt/576397208.html) Owner has a website at http://www.1961gte250ferrari.com/, which transfers to the buyer. More pics. Two questions: (1) In my opinion, foglights mounted within the g...

Recommendations for an Upholstery Shop in San Diego Area
Can anyone recommend a good upholstery shop in San Diego/North County area to redo the interior on my 330? I emailed Tom S. and Zac, but to no avail. David Booth suggested I post here. Has anybody had any firsthand experience with any shop in SoCal that they could recommend? I would prefer someone c...
