Re: Locking out the advance on Daytona distributor

Steve, do all six carbs suck at the same rate before the RPM change as they do after? john I think John has a great question here. IMHO, I think with this much of change in RPM it's air. I would still ask to remove the rear brake booster hose and plug up that fitting on the carb. As the booster pul...

Re: Locking out the advance on Daytona distributor

Steve,

Another item to check is the brake booster vacuum hose. Pull the large vacuum hose off the back of the rear carb. Plug or cover the hole in some way. You may have a leak from your lines or the brake booster itself. Something else to try and not that hard to do.

Re: Daytona intake manifold question

Steve, Since no one else has answered. I'll attempt, here goes. You do have a "leak" with those orifices in the intake manifold. They are small and lets in a metered amount of air to include the pulling in of oil fumes. They are included as part of the total amount of air needed for your idle air. I...

Re: 330 rocker arm axial clearances

IG, I think we had to machine those aluminum spacers to each specific rocker arm to get the required clearance. Took awhile, but we made 24 of the spacers. My old Queen ate a camshaft many years ago, as it had the older style hardened wafer valves and "broke through" the top of the valve stems. I as...

Re: 4247 GT is heading for Monterey!

Tom,

The car looks great. Last time I was at Zac's, I think your 250 was either Silver or Primer. I really like white on 250GTE's and PF Coupe'. I really fits the car.

The Daytona is at paint. Hope its back next week so I can get all my stuff done, which is extensive.

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem

Dyke,

The only other thing I can think of is playing with the balance bleed screws to change where your butterflies are sitting when at the proper idle speed. I am running out of ideas!!

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem

Dyke, Can you hook up an O2 sensor, like something from Innovate Engineering? I would really like to know if your stumble is a lean or rich condition. I assume lean, but you never know. Also any intake leaks? Can check with some starting fluid (ether) and a fire extinguisher close by. :-) I have a U...

Early or Late

Tom, The early 365's had one electric pump and one mech pump, just like 330's. The later 365's had two electric pumps in back. I think the cutoff is 12811, but Bryan P would know exactly. 365's almost had 2 series during the manufacturing run. Many small differences, also many big differences betwee...
