Re: NOS Koni Self Leveling Shock for Sale

Good morning
Not posted for a while but alerted by Mike Meehan to very interesting post by Tom Kizer.
The rear load leveller that Tom has is in fact correct for a GTC4 (7100-1012) & the correct
one for the Queen is 7100-1004.
Regards from the UK to all for a Happy & Healthy New Year
Best

Re: PAINT

Hello Aaron Masters has a GTC 4 in Gainsborough Celeste & it looks great in his pics, may be he will post a pic on this site. Many of the paint colours of the late 60's & 70's were named after quite a number of the great European thourobred racehorses Sir Ivor,Le Sancy,Hyperion & Gainsborough are onl...

Re: Coys London Auction Dec 08

Hello all Buyers premium is 15% on first £30k & then 10% over that with the premium subject to 17.5% VAT. Quite a chunk on a £50k buy that amounts to £6500 +£1137.50 VAT adding over £7.5k to the purchase price.& not bad for the Auction House which is receiving big payments from both seller & buyer. ...

Re: Coys London Auction Dec 08

Hello Andrew Thanks for your quick report about Coys I wanted to be there but just could not make it.I was intending looking at the 246 & as you say, the hammer price was reasonable but like other prices, a reflection of the economic climate. I am,hoever, quite pleased with how much the GTC 4 reached...

Re: 330 GT bodywork & paint

Hi Owen I am not sure what happens when our cars enter the paint shop. My car was also in the shop for more than two years & I have heard several other similar stories. Interestingly the cars seem to emerge & the owners are very happy with the finished job so I suppose it is worth the wait. Could it...

Re: 330 GT bodywork & paint

Hi Owen
In my opinion there is no better colour for a big Ferrari than Blue Sera & your car looks absolutely beautiful-but then again I am a little biased.
Congratulatins on your choice.

Re: Mod'd 365GTC/4 on eBay

Hi Andy Very nice convertible & like you not sure about some of the detail, They have reworked some of the switch gear, moved hazard & electric ariel switches & eliminated the ashtray & cigar lighter,so they have done plenty of work. Also relocated filler cap & boot release to drivers door pillar. D...

Re: Mod'd 365GTC/4 on eBay

Hi Jimmy Missed a word out but I still do not like the seats. Seem to be more like the 400 series seats & the wooden "ski-slope" looks to be a 365 GT4 2+2/400 series change. I think the original aluminium finish is better. Need to ask an engineer about the structural rigidity but the roof panel is j...

Who's car is this?

Hello Kerry Congratulations to you on such a comprehensive history on 5409,which is indeed interesting reading. What a great shame that such a nice car has been ruined & then is priced too high to be a realistic restoration project. Could it be another one that will eventually end up with Shaughness...

Brake line flares

Hello John If you decide to make your own pipes I can recommend Sykes Pickavant brake tools to produce the required flares. I made a complete set of pipes for my GTC4 with no problems usinfg these tools. It is not a cheap item but we are talking about your brakes on your pride & joy so I think it wi...

Tapping noise from my 330 America

Hello Tom I think the forum may have moved away from your question. When rebuilding my car I followed what I thought was good advice at the time from Jeff Littrell. If you check out the MIdas Swell at http://jefflit.net/cars/365gtc4/resto.asp you will see what I am referring to. We can all be wise a...

Tapping noise from my 330 America

Hello Tom My sympathy from the UK but as the guys have alrready said-it could have been much worse. I have been there also as most of us have but it will get fixed & you have the skills to fix it,plus Francis for advice. I think you are better placed than most. If money were no object would you repl...
