Re: Elektro Board

I had mine reproduced by a waterjet machine here in Brisbane Australia.
If it helps at all I could ask if another could be made and the cost (I can't recall what I paid)

So we would have the cad file it's just a matter of cutting a few more out.
It was for a SII GTE circa 1962/3

Re: The Blog has been Hacked

It was weird. No issues right now with PC and google. Earlier today (4Hrs ago) problem occurred on iphone on the native browser. last couple of days problem with PC and google, but like others - hit it the first time and you get the dodgy site, back button, hit it again and you are o.k. So their cod...

Re: Progress on Brakes

Hi, I just noticed that the "replacement" equaliser in the photos is larger than the original GTE unit. This is possible as the Muira has the same set up as Ferrari but a larger equaliser, and is generally more available. (Who knew...). Don't use the Muira version in a GTE and vice-versa. Rgs, Andrew.

Re: Correct Marchals for 250 GTE/330 America

Hi John, Have not found the brass connectors, as you have probably seen they are a little unique bendy bits that don't seem to be used anywhere else. The good news is that the assembly is available as it was used on renault, Alfa and Peugeot. SEV MARCHAL 61520303 Head over to ebay france, Herve, (Se...

Re: 250 GTE window winder door crank

Closest one I have come across is:
Window crank Fiat 1200 / 1500 Cabriolet + Ferrari 250
Product no.: OKP905252

I have not purchased one or know anyone who has.

Steve's Auto in the USA are the re silvering guy's, I have had work done by them and it's great. In Australia, north of Brisbane is Hyqual. Don't be put off by their website, they are happy to re-silver Marchals, good service and reasonable prices. Ph: 1800 77 77 44 | Email: hyqual@bigpond.com Addre...

Re: GTE water temp switch

Say, whilst we were all talking about the fan switch..... Has anyone got a source for the Peugeot magnetic clutch. I have got as far as tracing back to a part number for a 403, 1250.17 or 1250.06 which is described as: Poulie débrayable de pompe à eau d'origine PEUGEOT 403 pièce neuve d'origine PEUG...

Re: Re-Engraving logo on Borrani spinners

Just tried to buy the correct chrome spokes from Borrani for refinishing wheels. They won't sell them due to "safety" concerns.
Are there any suppliers who will?
I have a local guy who can do the work, but he's keen to use stainless spokes.

Re: Hood release handle mechanism

Shameless plug that may assist. Neil over at Newco products has reproduced the handle. Model: FER-HOOD-LEVER-M6 You will need the bracket and a special shoulder M6, I think, bolt to hold it all together. You have to ask for a quote. Just one of the random things I found whilst trolling on the interw...

Re: seals/gaskets for around the wiper wheelboxes

So I have my answers:

The wheelbox seals are now available from Cicognani: PRODUCT CODE: 16305370 WIPER UNDER PIVOT BUSHING (2 PCS)
Also, the wiper motor does reverse when parking. It set's the wipers lower on the screen when not in use. Very classy.

Re: seals/gaskets for around the wiper wheelboxes

So whilst we were all talking about wipers....... Rebuilt the wiper motor, no drama's, seems to work perfectly on the bench two speeds, all parts in good condition - etc. GTE, Series II Have copious notes from dis-assembly, wiring diagrams that make sense and have read all the posts looking for an a...

Re: seals/gaskets for around the wiper wheelboxes

Hi Ed, So on the GTE the tubes go into the passenger compartment, just under the windscreen, so that's where the wheelboxes sit, and the cable goes through the firewall to the wiper motor just to the right of the fusebox. There is drainage for the "scuttle" (not sure if that is the right word for th...

Re: seals/gaskets for around the wiper wheelboxes

Hello again, Not sure a straight tube would work, there is a profile at the bottom which when compressed would seal. Typical Ferrari, trap the water where the metal is.... Comments about "everyone is different" is correct, the majority of what is available suits the Mini - I guess there is probably ...
