Re: Coils

If you dis-connect the wire to the points and use a lighted continutiy tester it works great for finding the base timing. You could probably use the tester and not even dis-connect anything. I have installed numerous MDS boxes including my own 330 S2, I think they operate great and I do use MSD coil...

Re: Battery group size for 250 PF Coupe?

A general rule of thumb on batteries, looking down on top of the battery the positive post without any designation (F or R) is usually on the top right hand side of the battery. To the best of my knowledge F and R designated batteries have the positive terminal on the top left hand side. There are e...

Guffey, I think it's called a Bambina. In fact on Wayne Carini's show he restores one and auctions it off.

Re: 330 GTC Questions

Jgarman, The company that made the knock off tool was the Stainless Steel Brake Company. They stopped selling them due to liability concerns. I've made a bunch of these for customers and even had a post on my website on how to make them. Like the other company liability concerns stopped me from runn...

Re: Carb Synching

Let me just say that Colortune in the absence of a two or four gas analyzer actually works pretty well. The same company does sell a digital CO analyzer, I have not tried one but they claim it's acurate.

Re: Carb Synching

I hate to jump in but here goes: John, -First without making sure the ignition is up to snuff the rest is waste of time; dwell and timing are crucial -The throttle linkage needs to dis-connected from the carbs so they all independant from each other -Before starting the engine check to see if the th...

Re: Electrical Glitch

Steve I'm assuming by the VIN this is a series one or very early series two car. If it's a series one car, the ignition, and keyed circuits run through the ignition switch. As these switches get old the resistance gets high enough to heat up and kill the operating circuits, the interior lights work ...

Re: Brakes! We don't need no stinkin brakes

Tom, here's a thought, street rods use a hidden (remote) booster that can fit in a fenderwell, underneath the car etc. Leave the other booster up front looking like it's hooked up. The dual circuit M/C for floor mounted pedals only lasted one year in the states on S1 1750 Alfas. Europe however conti...
