Re: Vapor lock solution for carb cars
Greetings... You are using E85? That's 85% ethanol. Unless you've done some real serious re-working of your carbs, your car will run poorly or not at all. If you are using E10, the stuff at the vast majority of stations it like running your car 5% lean but it will work. If you are using your auxilia...

Re: Copiglia clamps
Greetings.. Some time ago I bought a kit with bands, clamps, and cotter pins from AuthenticClassics , a Mercedes restoration supplier. It came with both sizes and was the most reasonable price I found. Don't remember the application or part number but I think John V bought some as well and perhaps h...

Re: Gauge lighting
Greetings... I replaced the gauge lights in one of my Morgans with LEDs and it was a big improvement. The light is cooler (whiter) and seems to improve the contrast. Gauges much easier to read.

Re: SI 330GT 2+2 cooling fan
Greetings... Some time ago, Cory posted a picture of the one from Big Brother. It was a single motor with a 3 blade cast aluminum fan. Little brother (my car) has no fan but I suspect it should have one. There are holes in the square tube that suggest there had been one. That skinny little blade in ...

Re: 330 MK1 brake reservoir
Greetings... Mine measure 2.5 inches just below the flange below the cap. The picture shows the mounting bracket quite well. The second mounting hole is just below and forward of the one you can see in the picture. This is on car 5769, a fairly early S1.

Re: seals/gaskets for around the wiper wheelboxes
Greetings... The wheel boxes come through the body work at different angles depending the angle of the windscreen. On my Turner with a very flat and upright windscreen, they are at a very flat angle-closer to horizontal. The Morgans have them at a bit more upright angle and my Ferrari has them at an...

Re: 330 Series 1 brake light switch
Greetings... I made up an adapter to use a switch with 1/8 npt maybe 30 years ago. I used a switch from 40's or so GM cars as it was the lowest switching pressure I could find. 60-120 psi. This is about the same as the one from Painless Wiring. I've since changed to one from RonFrancis wiring. It sw...

Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration
Greetings ... Never been a fan of resistor spark plugs. I'd try some none resistor ones. Also, check the resistance of the ballast resistor both cold and hot as well as the coils. If you put in new condensers and still have the old ones, try a change there as well. Also, hopefully you are using meta...

Re: 1965 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 iterim car radio
Greetings... My 64 has an antenna in the right front fender. There is a ghost of the original silver paint under the mount. There is no evidence of a speaker in the rear. The car has no console so no speaker there. It had a radio hung under the dash and speakers in the doors added much later when I ...

Greetings... As I have the oil pan off my car (as well as lots of other parts) I shall take some pictures and measures. I'm assuming you mean the aluminum plates bolted to the top of the bottom plate.
