I have never used a collector car insurance policy (I use State Farm for all my cars), but I have heard that many (most?) have usage restrictions. I don't use my F-Cars to drive to work regularly, but it is nice to have that flexibility. And, I do often use them to run errands and go out to dinner (...

Re: Buried in California
It was the sister car to Tom's 330 America, s/n 5055 (the immediate next serial number). I started a thread about it here a while back. [quote="Leo"]i was just watching a show about funerals on the history channel and they quickly mentioned a woman in california that requested she be buried in lacey...

If you are looking for a daily driver, any of the Porsches mentioned would be good. I would probably be partial to a 993 (I love the styling). I think you could get one in that price range. If you want something exotic, I would look toward Maserati. You might be able to get a Ghibli in that price ra...

I'll second the comment about books and tools. I'd also look for records (mine has them back through 1978). I've had mine (12327) for ten years now. It was trouble free for the first 7-8 years and since then I've had a few issues. I've also become more ambitious about it-- I decided I wanted the air...

In Portland, there are several options. Craig, at the Jag Shop (don't be fooled by the name-- he is factory trained and does a lot of Ferrari work) does my vintage work, and he knows what he is doing. There is also ATD, who I have heard good and bad things about (mostly good recently). Finally, ther...

I have a 456 to go with my 365 2+2. It is very nice to have a modern Ferrari as well, and I find the 456 is so friendly and capable to drive that I end up driving it a lot (almost a daily driver, but I don't like taking it to work). A 348 would be good, I would also consider a Mondial t or a 3.2 Mon...

330 Ameria s/n 5055
Interesting thread about the fate of 330 America, s/n 5055 (the sister car to Tom's, I would guess):

>>For the ultra-wealthy, 2+2's never enter their purchase consideration because they're not unique enough -- and let's face it, bragging rights at the country club are important for these people that's why the F40, F50 and Enzo exist (it sure ain't for the 65mph roads in 98% of the USA). << I agree,...
