Re: 330 power window problem
Jim, I put in a 25A fuse (didn't have anything between that and the 15A). It worked great several times and I was all smiles, praising you to the heavens, when it just quit working. Didn't blow the fuse and no sound of the motor working. Trying the car's untouched wiring on another, known to be good...

330 power window problem
Still plugging away on the malfunctioning (actually, dead) PWs on both sides...collateral damage I guess. I've obtained motors (early '60s T-bird!) and tested it with the car's wiring and switch (I'm just on the driver's side now)...works fine. However, when mounted, it will work 4-5 times, then blo...

Power Window Motor
Well, I traced the issue on the dead Power Windows of my 330 gtc to the motor, and was wondering if there's a good replacement available, perhaps one used in Alfa or Fiat apps? Or, is there a reliable rebuilder for these? I'll bet there's an inexpensive way to to do this, but beats me what it is. Th...

Re: Need help with 330 Power Windows
OK, with the motor unwired, moving the switch blows the fuse, so I conclude I need a new switch and, maybe the motor. Where would I find a switch or is there someone who can repair it? thanx s

Re: Need help with 330 Power Windows
OK, I pulled the switch out and there's 12V to the switch in the neutral position. Moving the switch blows the fuse, so I'll pull those wires to the motor, and go from there. Bettin' on a fried motor. We'll see. thanx again. s

Re: Need help with 330 Power Windows
Thanx for the info. Do I just replace the motor, or do I dig out the switch, too? It returns to the center just fine. How do differentiate which, or both, is bad? thanx s

Need help with 330 Power Windows
The other day, the driver's side PW died, and, in retrospect, I noted a burnt smell, kinda like a cigar, in the car. The fuse labeled "Right Window Lift" was broken/cooked, which is odd, since that would have been the "left" window. (Guess I can pull the fuse to the passenger side and sort it out th...

Free Electrical Schematics in PDF
Ran across this guy who sells wiring harnesses for many of our cars. He'll email you a PDF schematic of your electrical system gratis. All of these are for V12 cars as far as I can tell. They're the same schematics that are in the shop manual, but seem much more clear. email: Lionel Velez <lionel.ve...

Re: Newbie question: Fans don't work
Lucked out again...cleaning (thoroughly) the fuse and its receptacle must have done the trick, 'cause at idle, as suggested by Cornellis, the fans
work fine. Whew! thanx s
