relay event

Anybody done it? This is the 60th anniversary Ferrari rally/relay/drive that started in Dubai. I signed up. It looks like about 3 hours of driving, filming crew, Shell gives you free gas, factory provides stickers, reception at the dealer, etc, etc. It should be fun, with a mixture of modern and vin...

Ferrari 250 wiki edits

Just for fun, and as a public domain service I updated the "Ferrari 250" wiki page with my photo (there was no photo of a GTE). The public is allowed to edit this community encyclopedia, so you guys should jump in with more accurate numbers, better descriptions, links to this site, etc... http://en....

My corporate cafeteria just hired a new chef from Ireland (Ian). This cat is amazing. He recently started selling chocolate high heels ! They come in milk, white, and dark chocolate. I got me one. It was a huge hit with my Chief Family Officer ! Chocolate and shoes, two passions united !

I have not seen any downward trends in the prices of Ferraris yet (not the rare, vintage ones, at least). Bay Area real estate proces have only moved down slightly with increased inventory. People are still hunting for clean V12s. I once did a poll (on fchat) about the average age of vintage Ferrari...

Close your eyes and dive into the pool. What else are you gonna do with the money? Donate it.... so some ceo of a non profit can fly around in a gulfstream? Spend it on stocks that just sit there? Invest in real estate at the peak? Life is short. If the family is fed and happy, then just do it ! Eve...

i am not good for legal advice but if it is a reputable /established dealer you might want to do it preceeded by a faxed contract. If you do not like a wire you can always have an agent like Cosdell's handle the local transaction (they serve as the escrow holding funds and pick up the car).

It is OK if it all crashes. I like where I live and what I drive. If I were a short time speculator, you are right, I should be crapping my pants. It is looking like the 80s. I guess what I was saying that "long term" you cannot loose with either. There are cyclical booms and crashes, but the 10 yr....

Congratulations and we will expect pictures soon upon arrival ! With the trend in vintage iron going up I continue to sit on the fence.... :) I am enjoying the car. Too bad we will not see you at Quail. I am not sure if I will be the sole V12 2+2 rep, but I was pleased to have been accepted for a pl...

new GTE in the market

Just spotted this one in my classic driver newsletter. It appears to be in Europe. With the prices of #2 GTEs moving beyond 100K a few more of them are coming out of the woodwork. It also appears that 1 of the 2 GTEs at Fantasy Junction sold and the one at Heritage no longer appears on the website e...
