Inferior Parts
I was thinking of writing this post in the "is the customer always right" post but thought it has the weight to stand on its own. This is a way for the Ferrari owner to sympathize with the shop owner because of a lack of high quality replacement parts. As a shop owner we are constantly beat down by ...

On these larger engines head gaskets are a problem. On the rear lower corners of the head mating surface is a problematic area. We used the common ELRING gaskets that look so special with the silicone beading and fancy colors but have had bad experiences with them. We now use a special head gasket s...

500 Superfast Brakes
Regarding Toms new post with the SuperFast, did anyone see how tiny those brakes are. A 275 GTB has the same components and weighs probably 1000lbs less and is known for terrible brake fade and lousy stopping distances. A SuperFast is just that, very fast. i drove one and without pressing it hard sm...

At the donut end of the drive shaft is a "ball" (cross section of a ball) that fits into the socket which is the companion flange cone that it bolts up to. Like any ball and socket set up, there needs to be some sort of lubricant to prevent premature wear. The donut is only there to transmit the tor...

Why are you replacing the donut, is it vibrating? I do not recommend replacing the donut if this is the case because you will still have the vibration and spent a bunch of money. I have some nuts and bolts that I will give you as long as you pay for the shipping. I also have a solution to a vibratin...

The Ferrari market is nothing like the late 80's. Back then cars were trading between dealers and speculators and they were not getting titled or registered. They went from one guy to another never to be driven or enjoyed. I bought/brokered/sold 22 cars in 2006, Porsches, OSCA, Maserati, lots of Fer...

As many know, I traded my 365 GTC/4 with Sam for this 330 GT #8025. I have sold many 330's in the last few years and knew that this car is one of the best as so many are often great examples of deferred maintenance. The engine is very fresh and strong and does not smoke even when cold. Sam was a ver...
