Hi Erik,

Don't worry about me! I still consider a Ferrari built after 1972 as being a "newer" car! The V-8 thing,...well, that's another thing! ;-)

Hi John,

From the looks of it, the Dash probably has to come out, or at least it will make it easier to get it out:

Hi Roger,

Here's shot of my horse before I sent it out for chome plating. I don't know if it's the same as the one that goes on your car, but it's flat, and you can really see the details Chris describes.

Hi Tom,

Here's picture of my car during assembly. Most of it was painted with Krylon dull aluminum paint, which has just the right finish.

Another handy item to have for gasket making is a leather punch. With homemade gaskets, or trimming holes of ready made gaskets, a leather punch allows you to make pretty accurate holes. Never assume the gasket kit gaskets actually fit. The holes are usually slightly off, so check them for fit, and ...

If anyone is seriously interested, I'm sure Francois would not mind doing a PPI. He charges his usual hourly rate ($75/hr unless it's gone up), and will probably end up costing the same as anyone else, only I can't think of anyone I would trust more!

I'm not sure what I'll do when this car is done, but a GTC would be nice! I've basically resigned myself to never owning a Lusso considering what has happened to their prices in the last year or two! ...and to think we were complaining about how that barn-find-Lusso-wreck sold for $75K a few years a...

O.K. Here's a list of things I still have to do to make the show: 1. Finish the dash 2. Cover the interior trim pieces with headliner material 3. Finish the grille 4. Find the fuel leak that still is in the rear of the car. 5. Finish the seatbelt installation. 6. Fix minor details inside the car The...

Hi Charles,

Susupension pieces such as control arms will have to canibalized, but the bushings are available, and the shocks are rebuildable by Koni.

Trying to convince the wife on the purchase is just the beginning! Hiding the reciepts of the repairs will be ongoing! You do know distributor caps are $200+ each, and you'll need two? How about $2700 dollar exhaust systems? I'm not trying to scare you away, but if you think BMW parts are $$$... I a...

Hi Luke,

I'm not sure if I can attend as I don't subscribe to the Registry! I am, however, planning on hosting a second annual Monterey weekend get together on Thursday night. This time you'll be able to stay out late since it's in the same motel!

Hi Charles, Welcome! Having lived in Savannah for a couple years, I can understand your concerns for air conditioning! While my dash is out, I'm going to make some measurements for Michael Greenspan so we can continue his research into fitting a/c in his 330 America. Be aware that insulation may be ...

Hi Luke,

Have you tried calling Fred Petroski in NY? He may have a headlight ring. Geoff Ohland of Partsource in ME may have the gaskets and a licence plate frame.

Did I miss something? What happened to the car?
