I ordered the Stebro for my car last week. I decided against ANSA because I wanted stainless. Dan said he would throw in a couple of extra loose tabs just in case but thought the system for my car should fit pretty close.

Interesting point about a different chassis. Both bumpers look to be mounted too low also.

On both the 250 and 330 engines I have always used the choke to start the car. I leave the choke on for high idle for awhile before I take off. I think the reason some people advise against using the choke is in case it does not shut off completely when you close the lever. You don't want a gassier ...

Way back when I had a GTE that would do exactly the same thing in stop and go traffic and hot weather. I had to always run with the electric fuel pump on and would not have problems then. Maybe you are already doing this. It does sound like a fuel issue though.

It is important to check the cross pipe hoses between the tanks. I had one break apart in my hand when starting to remove the tanks from the trunk.
