Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration

I think the small lens at the side was always Amber, the front lenses were either or amber, depending upon the market. Usually from memory Germany and other Euro markets had clear from lenses.

Cheers

Re: Vinyl sealed, foam filled, sun visor refurbish

Hi Tom I think Superformance here in the UK have the correct - or very similar vinyl material at least if that helps. There is probably someone in Italy with a selection of these on a shelf somewhere. You really need to go to the big classic car meet at Padova in October one year. Lots of NOS parts ...

Re: Yellow fuel lines & brown oil line & fittings

A belated response here, but I just wanted to let people know that we have these in stock - both fuel and oil hoses and most of the ferrules and fittings usually on the shelf at Maranello Classic Parts. We also have a few pre-made hoses for various applications in stock too. The hoses are sold by th...

Daytona style wheels

Hi all Finally getting around to fitting up the 5 spoke Cromodora wheels to the 365GT that we acquired ages ago. We got them 'disassembled' with the splined hubs unbolted from the wheels proper. Does anyone have a picture or two showing how the hubs bolt up to the wheels? I'm pretty sure how they al...

Re: Cavallino 2012

No Cavallino Classic for us, but will be making Retromobile too. Should be some spectacular machines there from Peter Mullin's collection. Italian content not at spectacular as shows like Techno Classica in Germany, but it's certainly a good show.

Re: Carello 03485800

Is that the outer polished rim/ring for the headlamp? There are various Carello ones for Alfas that have been reproduced. I think the headlamps on the 330 are 7 inch diameter? That will possibly be the same as Alfa Giulietta/Giulia 750 or 101 Series Spiders or 101 Series Sprints. There are subtle va...

More international fame for Tom Y

Now quoted in advertisements! :)

Not sure how the car ended up here in the UK, but more 330GTs appearing on the market here at reasonably strong prices.

Cheers & happy new year!

Re: wall art

What wanton destruction. The bodyshell of the 365GT looked perfectly OK until they started hacking it up! This destruction under the pompous guise of 'art' (honestly, what utter bollocks) cannot be justified. I really hoped that the rise in the value of our 2+2s would mean an end to the threat of th...

Re: its Done

G'day Mark Go back to the picture link Kelly gave you and click onto the 'base' directory (KLV & ADS Photos or something like that) and you'll be able to bore yourself silly with our photo album of events etc... Basically and electronic version of a slide night. Look for the folder entitled Giancarl...

Re: its Done

Hello Mark, How exciting to have the car in the paint shop and ready for the transformation to occur! We too agonised over blues (one of the nicest colours for a 365GT ever). GianCarlo's original colour was a horrid purply-navy, non metallic, and it really was lurid. The paint shop had a number of a...

Re: Painting "the car"

Having had my GTV painted in Australia, compared to the 365 painted here in the UK, the main thing I noted is that you should go for the best level of protection possible and if you can, try and wax inject (or similar rust preventative material) as much as possible once the car is painted and before...

Re: GTO 3647 at Monterey

Enjoyed all the pics and video clip Tom. Joh Surtees is a real gentleman. George Wingard owns that Fiat S74 (Saturday Laguna Seca pics) amongst a big colleciton of big engined veteran cars that he usually takes to Goodwood for the Festival of Speed each year. It's not as dangerous as this veteran ma...

Re: Updates from Monterey

No Alfa photos yet Tom  Great bunch of photos - love the Lambo in the bunker...which iron should he use to get it back on the fairway? :D Looks like we missed a good weekend. We got rained on at the Nurburgring last weekend for the Oldtimer Grand Prix meeting, so couldn't make Monterey this yea...

Re: Ferraris were meant to be...?

Drove my Alfa GTV 120 miles each way to Mallory Park Circuit on Sunday and got some rain (and slow traffic...) on the M1 motorway on the way back home - but just happy to be out in the car. Guy in a 599GTO came up alongside me and gave me a blip on the throttle in the traffic and a thumbs up...wish ...
