Re: Mixed Feelings
I understand where you are coming from Tom K, but I'm sad that the 'quest for platinum' seemed to almost make you fall out of love for the car. I did the comprehensive restoration trick on my 1750GTV after 20 or so years and 100,000 miles of ownership, but it was getting back in and driving it that ...

Re: self leveling rear suspension in 365's
We've got one from the Goodwood Revival a couple of years ago that should be floating around the website somewhere too. 4 adults and lots of luggage! I can only echo John's wise comments. After 12 or so years and about 25,000 miles the rear suspension is a lesser concern compared to body condition, ...

V12s (and many other things) at Essen Technoclassica
Just an info post. Andrew has carefully uploaded and captioned all the pics from our trip to the huge TechnoClassica event Germany in early April. Quite a few V12s and we got the serial numbers where at all possible. Lovely show! Prices seemed uniformly very high in Germany, much higher than UK. May...

Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration
Most rubber door & window seals are readily available from a company in Italy that have been mentioned here before. They can be a little difficult to deal with due to language barriers at times, but messge us for details if you like!

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!
Congrats on saving another car Tom! We saw a few at Techno Classica in Essen last week - including Hein Brand's engine :D but he was not present on his stand at the time. Prices seem to be staying firm for GTEs in Europe currently, so hopefully less of them will go down the path of no return... BTW ...

UK Ferrari Event Pics
Finally spring is here and March has kicked off with a bunch of events in England. Hurrah! We have awoken GianCarlo from his winter's rest and took him for a jaunt around the M25 up to DK Engineering's Open Day last Saturday. Andrew took some photos and he's just uploaded these (with informative cap...

Re: Dying Daytonaspider beauty?
Ethanol is another issue...not sure about the US, but in Europe they are starting to look at 10% ethanol in fuel. I gather that's not great for older rubber fuel lines, carb diaphragms, seals etc etc, not to mention the effect on the general ecosystem and food supply when you start directing product...

We *might* attend; is it possible to decide a bit closer to the day? Previous years have been heavily biased toward modern V8s ... so we'd go but only if it didn't clash with a more V12-ish event. We have National Trust membership so can get in free anyway.
Thanks,
Kelly

Re: Preproduction 0891GT versus S1 PF coupe
Same tail light units that we sell for Alfa Giuliettas. They have been reproduced. There are two slightly different styles, one with a 'narrow' slot for the light to emit and one with a wider slot. They were fitted to both the Pininfarina bodied Spiders as well as the Bertone bodied cars.

Tom, Tom, Tom...being too cautious I fear! I hope the chance comes your way again in the future... I'm curious to know about noise limits/restrictions on circuits like that in the US. All the UK circuits basically run under noise limits these days (either 98 or 105 dB) and cars have to have static a...

Re: FCA Judging
We have to feel a little sorry for the 'newbies' on the F-car scene with their moderns. After all, where else are they going to go while wearing all their red clothes? But seriously, the older cars to tend to get crowded out, even here in the UK. Although I do notice that now that we turn up w...

Thanks Kerry.
We've rigged up a separate switch for now, but it looks like a good option to get it back to the correct setup in due course.
