I was afraid of that with the clamps. Will try to get pics of the horns.

Wish I could show pics, but the horns are at the painter's place right now, so can't get pics very easily. I'm only questioning the diaphragm, or flat round end/base of the horns, not the trumpet part. I know my trumpets are supposed to be red, just not sure about the base part.

Thanks again.

I've seen Tom's detailed description where he says the diaphragms are hammertone grey. Just wondering if the color of mine - tan - could be a variant original, as the paint looks to be original. There's no grey paint under my tan. I've tried several outlets for the clamps without luck. Lyle Tanner s...

330GT air horn color, muffler clamps

Can anyone confirm the proper color of the air horns on a 67 330GT 2+2? Mine were sprayed with black, but the original candy-apple red can still be seen under the black, so I'm going to repaint that color on the trumpet part. The bases of mine are kind of tan in color. Is that correct, or is it supp...

Valve clearance jam nuts

I've been adjusting my valves, and wondered what touque setting you should use when tightening the "jam nuts." Can't find it in any of my books.

Thanks,
David

Thanks. Any idea where to get those washers? If not, what's a close replacement?

Valve cover stud washers

What kind of washers are supposed to be used with the acorn nuts on the valve covers, etc, on a 330 GT 2+2?

My washers are flat and metalic in color, but now I hear that they might have originally been wavy and blue.

Acorn nuts are supposed to be clear cadmium, right?

Thanks

Is it necessary or recommended to have the fittings replated when replacing the line?

Thanks. Makes sense.

Does it matter much where I get one?

Oil pressure gauge line

I have a 330GT 2+2, with a leak where the oil pressure gauge line connects to the fitting going into the block. I've gotten the fitting off, and am now debating whether to cut off the end of the hose and try to save it, or replace the entire hose. The hose seems pretty brittle. Any thoughts? Best pl...
