Re: Bushing Caution
<t>Posted by Dave

That's a great story about the racing jack -- and so true about trash turning
to treasure. It absolutely kills me to think of the great cars -- Ferrari and
otherwise -- that wound up on the scrap heap because the current owner had no
use/interest/ro...

Re: Bushing Caution
<t>Posted by Tom

I'm saving the bushings, and sleeves, but one of them is pretty rusty. I'll see if I can clean it up, but the surface will never be smooth. I'd imagine Francois and I could machine a SAE sleeve to the metric size if we have to.

Speaking of saving parts. For y...

Bushing Caution
<t>Posted by Dave

I bought both sets of bushings for my cars a few years back when Cornes Motors was still in business as San Diego's authorized Ferrari dealership. For some unknown reason, they had quite a wide variety of
suspension bushings for the 250 cars. Although they're gone,...

Hey what is with all those reproduction Ferrari manuals that sell for over a $100 on ebay? Couldn't anybody just start running off these types of things? When something you xerox is worth that much it is like printing money. Yale Evelev

I noticed the October issue of Forza magazine has an article about François Sicard, who maintains Mr. Letterman's collection. Can I assume that this is the same François who is overseeing Tom's restoration?

European Car Importation

At the risk of this being a conversation between Tom and myself, by the way thanks Tom, let me ask a question about importing 25 year old or older cars from Europe. Anyone ever do it? What was the process? The costs? The caveats? Thanks Yale Evelev

Kare has a list of 330s in Sweden, and may have more privately.

Found this car on EBAYMOTORS.COM. I always feel sad when I see something like this because it's evidence that someone has once again hacked the frame out from under this car to make a replica.
