Checked the idle jets They have 60 stamped on them or 09 Depending on how you view it. Also checked the old unusable carbs They too had 60 or 09 jets Took the car up and down the yard a few times after putting in 15 litres of gasoline. The fuel got over - so ahe is guzzling. Thank you Tom An update Removed the carbs and opened them. Changed the packing in between the top half And bottom half of the carbs Checked valves etc were clean Assembled back together Changed packing in between the carb and manifolds Used thicker bakelite. Hi Tom. If you recall i sent my set of carbs to Mike Pierce Who did an outstanding job of rebuilding them. When we started the engine we had a miss so we removed the carbs and sent them back to Mike for checking them out again. In the meantime gave the car for painting. Two things happened 1.The guy...

carbs are not getting set .
When we turn the air screw there is hardly any
change in idle . Car keeps running rich .

Some more info: All wires are getting a continous spark. On cold start everything is fine . After warm up , there is an intermittent misfire mainly from first carb and a little from second . Since it is not a continous misfire, the mechanic feels that due to new valve guides ,they maybe “catching” t...

Hi Tom. Haven’t done a leak down test yet as i have Lost the leak down test gauge that i had got From summit. Will order another one. Regarding your other question The throttle is open by 1.5 turns . The air screw is turned out by half turn from full close. As always, thanks for all your help! Best
