Few people crawled out from under the rocks and soon Chris Kanterjiev figured o...

You can mate the chassis number and the body number with help of this list: http://koti.welho.com/kpietil4/250gte.htm

Body parts are stamped with 3 last digits from the project number.

>Kare, all of the stamped/written/chalked PF body numbers on 330 GTs >are 300 (or 700 depending on which way you do the math) numbers off >of the PF build number. See my explanation above. So 852 - 700 is >152, or 5853. Yes, I forgot that they started over the numbering of body parts when 330GT prod...

The Pininfarina records are, however, the truth as we know it. unfortunately people who copied the records made some mistakes and missed some numbers, but basically these records are as realiable as a source can get! What comes to #852, the body number belongs to 8635GT (5853 was #152!!!) - a 330GT ...

I don't >know of any GTE's I have notes of 32 confirmed 2-tone PF Coupes! 2-tone paint schemes seem to have been very unpopular in restorations. I am not aware of any 2-tone GT/Es. Not definite though, production records of GT/E-series ar...

Re: engine S/N

This car HAS MATCHING ENGINE. The incorrect engine number was a typo (they simply forgot to change engine number when converting an old file to advertise another car) and has now been corrected.

As most if not all all plated parts (expect window trim, off course) are incorrect replacements, it is quite obvious that this car may have been parted out once in its earlier life. The question that remains: was the bodyshell then kept on original chassis or was it put on a GM-based replacement cha...

[quote="Rudy van Daalen Wetters"]Does anyone know of a similar wheel failure? Hope this addition makes my previous posting easier to understand.

Ferrari and GRP

Tom, Among 40 first cars built Pinin Farina records show remark "Pl" or "Pla" for 23 cars, while another 8 cars have a note "Met". There are 9 cars in this range where this kind of note is missing completely. I have been told that these markings match the bootlid material seen in a those cars that h...
