I remember a thread on here a couple of years ago where someone posted a pic of a GTE with a similar 275 GTB-style headlight treatment, but done much better-- it was really good looking. The rest of the car wasn't butchered, either.
Look at Tom's entry "Interesting GTE" da...
It is disgusting. I wonder what happened to the Ferrari engine & drivetrain.
PF Coupe 1273/GT was parted out by FAF in Tucker, GA in 1976 and later converted into 250 GTO-replica using engine 2573GT.

Re: Extra 250GTE/330 America sheet metal
Guys - I've got an entire front clip from a series III ('63) 250GTE and a hood that I need to sell. I purchased them as spares for my restoration and didn't use them. Call me for details and I can send pic's if anyone can use them.
Do you know which car it came from? Hav...

The Ebay offering is no joke; the seller clearly has high hopes that some replica owner is ready to pay for the identity. It is quite sure that this 250/GT is not driving around anymore, so it would be quite safe to use the number once the cross member has been cleaned out. I also agree that existin...
Got it. The number "216" is stamped on what I call the clutch skirt, just behind the last cylinder on that bank and above the engine number stamp (5033), right where Kare told me to look for it. The previous number string is cast into the block surface and this one is stamped.[/...

As far as I know, only chassis, body, engine, gearbox and rear axle have individual numbers. All other numbers must be part numbers, which usually take format 209/12345 where "209" is the type of the main group (engine/chassis/whatever) the part was originally designed for and "12345" is the part nu...
Hi Tom - you didn't ask, but I'm volunteering the information for my 330 America motor - #5033GT. On the top of the block casting, below where the intake manifolds would bolt on, there appears 209-100041. Sound like what you're looking for?
Look carefully around area whe...

I would be very hapy if you could report any internal engine numbers for 330 Americas. I'm missing numbers on both 4973 and 5061. It is interesting that the earliest 330 motors were included in the 250 numbering series, which also makes me particularly interested in these numbers!

This is great news! I really like these cars and it is nice to know that another nice car with special history is around "unharmed"!

Care to report the internal engine number for your car? Would expect an even number little above 2100 for your car!

I'm pretty happy to see this car alive! There has been some reports of some fire damage at Exoticars of Pittsburgh and for a long time I've been wondering whether it survived or was serious enough to have been parted out (knowing very little damage may be enough for some people to turn them into spa...

Looks like Lancia Flaminia hood (by Pininfarina). Proportions match more or less exactly, so does the scoop contour and material. Will try to find photos of inside.

Smart move at this point might be waiting to see the photos. 11 of the cars above were Series 1/2 cars and last 5 cars belong to Series 3. Very little is known of the early life of each car. Germany was a very young Ferrari-nation at the time; with a rare exception here and there these GTEs were abo...
