Re: Ferrari 250GT PF SERIE 2 WITH INSIDE PLUG ENGINE

Raab lists 1565 as having one of the last 128D motors. The first PF Coupe w/ tipo 128F is 1529. The 128D to 128F transition happens between 1529 and 1569, which is the last 128D motor in a PF Coupe.

along those lines - Michael Bayer found a black sleeve material that can be shrunk over a new braided stainless steel line and appears to match the old rubber flex line material.

Re: Brakes! We don't need no stinkin brakes

just my thoughts but I know if I was building Ferraris to drive and not building them for green grass and trophy collecting there are plenty of improvements to be made. Re: 365 2+2 #12685 in DC

My guess is that the reasons for selling are all over the map; mine include needing another project, the economy, and already having an iconic car in the family that goes in the "let's keep this one for 50 years +" category. The Queen Mother makes all the right noises, looks fantastic, goes like hel...

Re: 365 2+2 #12685 in DC

I was all over, in and under this car ten years ago when it was begin re-done by Chuck Wray and several times again very recently; it is as Lashdeep describes it. With the Chuck Wray motor rebuild, you can drive this thing for a very, very long time w/ relatively low operating costs.

that and $4 will get you a latte. Last I heard, Mr. Trebelhorn was having minor body work done to remove some of the worst damage; It appeared that the driver's door had been sprung open, trashing the leading edge of the door skin and the fender in front of it. I believe he also has brokers a-plenty...

Re: Trebelhorn Lusso

Sheehan's files say that Meade likely did the mods. Ed Waterman had the car in Arlington in '74. Trebelhorn bought it in 75, so, yes, it has spent at least 36 of its 46 years in the Mid-Atlantic!
