Re: Preproduction 0891GT versus S1 PF coupe
It is rather amazing that the Fuller Brush Co would produce an entire issue devoted to Phil Hill of which the picture above is on the back cover. The article was written by Denise McClugggage who had a comfy relationship with Hill as can be seen in the picture on the inside back cover. Denise is sti...

Re: Missing cover over engine mount?
My 330GT 8855 is just a few cars later than Kerry's. As Kerry's registry shows, I have a very complete history of the car and knew the two who owned the car for most of its history. I have every reason to believe that the engine and/or transmission have never been out of the car. There are no small ...

Re: PLATINUM AWARD 0337GT
Ah, but one needs to read the Technical Details on Page 45.
It has a 5.12 inch bore by a 4.15 inch stroke.
Gee, it must be able to sent a new drag strip record.

Re: stupid is as stupid does
Oh, I don't know. Several years ago, when I was driving the 330 back from Kerry's on the freeway, three good old boys in a beat up pickup truck came close to me on the right side and drove exactly my speed. It was hot, and everyone had their window rolled down. The pickup truck driver yelled at me a...

Re: FCA Judging
Fixing up a car to be judged is a great way to get know your car in great detail. Some of us enjoy this fixing and the knowledge that comes with it. Having the car judged is useful in finding out things that we overlooked to fix. Not having all cars get awards even if they have the points to qualify...

Re: FCA Judging
Two stories: Years ago, I was at a concours near Seattle. A guy had driven a perfect Countach to it from Olympia. Another guy had brought a Porsche 911 something in a covered truck. He drove it onto the grass with "booties' that covered the tires to keep them clean, only taking them off after the ca...

Re: Distributor Labels
Some years ago, I attended a small show in Seattle where Glen Mounger displayed his Series I PF Cab. The hood was open. The right-bank distributor was labeled 1-6; the left-bank 7-12. Some time later, Mounger became the co-chair of the Pebble Beach Conours. Even later, I met his daughter who worked ...

Ah, the real scoop: The Word file with the distributor numbers
were originally made by my wife Shirley, who found the right
fonts. She gave it to Kerry. Maybe she should have copyrighted it.

Re: 330 GT trunk gasket
I installed one like in Kerry's photo.
The trunk lid closed but had a gap that a good eye saw
I voted for time to make it fit rather than trying to slice some thickness out.
It has been a few years now. I voted wrong.
