Re: heater

OK so hot water goes into the diaphragm (even though it leaks a little at the top) and comes out the back side. Then goes into the heater box(s) then out to a valve that if open returns the water to the radiator. I'm getting hot water going into the heater box and coming out. So why don't I have hot...

Re: heater

Even if I fix the diaphragm what will that do to get me heat? I took the outlet hose off and hot water is coming through the valve.

Re: heater

by looking at the picture of your heater valve, I noticed a part missing, there's supposed to be an arm coming off the center of your valve where the control cable attaches to open and close the valve. I would send you a picture but I have problems uploading pictures on this sight. If you need a pi...

Re: heater

So the manual valves to let hot water pass through need to be unscrewed (out)?

I cannot get any heat to come out. There are heater hoses on the right and left side in the engine compartment that have valves on them which I assume should be screwed out so water can flow through them. Correct? Is the the heater control valve on the rear of the block near the firewall?

Re: dash lights?

Unplugged the 2 wires to the rheostat, taped them together and now I have bright dash lights all the time. Guess the rheostat has a short somewhere. I'll have to get into that another time. Trying to make the heater work today.

Re: dash lights?

Well the fuse was blown after all. A new fuse blew as well. I recently had another electrical problem. A group wires coming into the 8 panel box shorted out killing all circuits (it was if the battery had been disconnected) so I'm guessing the panel lights might be related. What color fuse goes in t...

The green light does come so I guess the rheostat needs cleaning. How does it come out?
