Re: Power Windows in my 330 GTC
Actually, come to think of it, I think someone may have already mentioned that a while back on another thread.

Re: Power Windows in my 330 GTC
This might not be applicable, but these old Ducellier motors are identical to ones used on the headlights of a Lamborghini Miura. They can be replaced with a modern Alfa window motor for $170. I'm also in the process of cleaning mine up, and putting them in a box for another time. I'll be replacing ...

Re: Heater Hoses
Global Metrics occasionally has cloth wrapped hoses in correct sizes. I bought a bunch the last time I was there, in all sorts of sizes, and it was pretty cheap. They don't have the Ferrari-specific breadth of products that Newco has, but they do have a bunch of goodies - black zinc metric bolts, so...

Re: What should i do with Alt and Starter
If it were my car I'd at least have them both bench tested. Rebuilding is pretty inexpensive as far as costs go, so now is a good time if needed. Good time to flow-test the radiator as well. That'll cost $40 or so, if they charge you at all. I don't know which shop is the best locally to you, sorry.

Re: 330 GTS Misbehaving Voltage Regulator?
So I got my Jag alternator working again. But now I'm looking for the black plastic cover on the front sidewall by the radiator which covers the junction box where the 3 wires come from the Alternator. Anyone know of a source?

Re: 330 Heater Control Valve
JohnV you've inspired me to make one for my heater control, which currently provides generous heating in all settings off and on. Where did you find the material? (I have yet to take it apart, so I'm trying to get the parts in-house prior to opening it)

Re: GTE Prices Appear to Remain Strong
Hate being under high bidder. Will correct that in Monterey!! Opening that wallet wider will correct all mistakes made. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but the only mistake you made was not taking a double scotch 20 minutes prior. For "gotta have its", partaking of the bidder's bar early ...

Re: GTE Prices Appear to Remain Strong
Results were strong enough to make it a pretty decent sale. Which is to say, they sold the TR, which paid for the whole auction. Looks like there were a few sellers still living in denial, though.

Re: GTE Prices Appear to Remain Strong
I have a good 330GTC for $150K I have a good USA daytona for a little north of $200K A 250 GTE will be at the factory sale in a couple of days, stay tuned for a real number on a factory certified car, not just a GTE, a certified GTE. GTEs are not strong, nothing is. No change in the immediate futur...

Re: 330 GTC RW4039 and 205/vr/14 tire rub
I seem to recall that even with the incorrect 205/70 Dino tires which are much smaller, I would still wear a hole in my ducting within a few hundred miles or so. What's needed is some sort of flat plastic molding which would replace or shield the ducting. Perhaps just a cut piece of sheet metal with...

Not one, but two Citroen SM. Those cars get better looking every year, IMHO.

Re: Front radiator pan
It's been my experience that these pans cause the oil temp to run hotter, as it diverts airflow around the sump. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation. But it helps the air flow through the radiator, particularly with the front mounted fans. High water temp is more likely than hig...

Well, I've finally found some time to go and do a little research, and I found these references online. Handy explanation of the 11AC alternator: http://www.coolcatcorp.com/faqs/Lucasalternators.html A better charging circuit for 11AC alternators: http://www.rootesparts.com/id230.htm Nippondenso Ret...
