161K KM, Sanden AC, grommets, update
My 2nd York in 4 years failed when the shaft seal started leaking…. So decided to switch to Sanden. One of the benefits with Sanden is you can put any FRONT plate (the pulley section) to almost any compressor of different size and capacity, to any BACK plate (so you can have S/D ports in just about ...

I did my 190SL with these-- like OEM did-- they work fine, easy once you get the hang of it!

Re: A/C
absolutely! I moved my condenser way up front, and made it bigger than factory.. My compressor is a York, with a custom welded bracket changing the compressor position from the Factory AC. My AC blows cold, even in Hot Atlanta traffic. there is a manual on line you can download too from Ferrari from...

Re: Regarding Tom's post on fuel and alcohol
question- the "no alcohol" fuel thats near me is only 87 octane..... which is better for our cars?---> no alcohol low octane, or using premium with the alcohol?
the higher octane alcohol free is far away from where i live ( like over 30 mins without atlanta traffic)

Regarding Tom's post on fuel and alcohol
Tom I still subscribe to the fuel tank hypothesis... my theory is it takes OXYGEN to make rust ( oxidation ), and the more full the tanks the less O2 is present so even if there is some water, perhaps there is less chance of oxidation? thoughts? We finally have a new gas station that has alcohol fre...

V12 running on 8 not fun, but happy ending....
Took car in to Ken's Body Shop in Tucker GA (I can recommend him!) for some minor touch up of chips etc on nose. While there, there was a 330GTC getting a complete restoration competing for my time so car sat with him over holidays a few months, and when I picked her up a few weeks ago, she was runn...

Intake manifold to booster vacuum hose ID
I noticed the other day my vacuum hose ( german fabric wrapped hose) that runs from booster check valve to the rear of the intake collapses slightly when all that V12 heat warms up the engine bay and is under vacuum. If i remember correctly, I used some correct sized hose I had in the shop when I re...

Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump Repair Questions
john, are you sure the faces of each side are clean, smooth and flat? I dont see how the material should affect the sealing. Only when nothing else would work I have successfully used permatex85420 fuel resistant sealer on occasion as it is non settling, and its not in contact with the fuel if you o...

How to search for phrase?
How do I search for something that has 2 words, and only those 2 words... for example "water temperature" or "oil pressure" or "metallic paint" etc?
