Charles, I completely understand the "too many cars" issue. I am a fairly new member in the fold with a 250 GTE project. I've been contemplating the sale of my 1974 BMW 3.0 cs because I think the Ferrari will fill that niche and I could use the room. Problem is I really like the BMW. Hang in there a...

Speaking of valve cover removal/replacement, anyone have an idea of where to find the plastic or bakelite knobs that screw into the cover for ease of removal?

Thanks, Rad

Very nice. I am curious what the particulars of this are. In response to Yale, sometimes a new harness is more confidence inspiring than trying to make heads or tales of someone else's piece work. I have been planning a new harness as well. To this point I was going to start with a universal "hot ro...

The other reason I'm interested is I don't have any panels to start from, so having the panels cut is important to me.

I am not sure what the advantage of anodizing the panels are. Could someone explain that to me?

Thanks, Rad

Kare,

Thanks for your reply. Tell me how you can tell it is a 330 America engine out of S/N 5079?

If someone could explain how I can link my digital photo's, I will post them of these numbers. Or, if interested, I will e-mail photo's in order to help decipher what I have.

Thanks, Rad

I too am unable to measure these panels as I do not have any! I will make do with whatever the group consensus is.

Thanks for all your efforts.

The engine was in 6981. A four headlight 330. It was mated to a 5-speed with a date code 8/65 stamped on it. I'm pretty sure it is a 330 engine, but not original to this car. The numbers are confusing. The number I provided 226/1016E is stamped where the chasis number is supposed to be stamped. I gu...

On the passenger side housing are the following #'s 226/1016E On top of the bell housing are the following #'s 1816/62E

This is a four mount V-12 with 3 Webers.

Wiring Harness for 250 GTE

I am new to this forum. I am getting around to the job on my Ferrari project that I least want to do. New wiring.

Are there any companies out there that have complete harnesses for this car?

Also, any (reasonable) sources for wiring diagrams?

Thanks, Rad
