Just keep in mind that these cars were all handmade, not from perfectly machine stamped pieces. So the pretty lines that Pininfarina turned out were not because of the straight metal underneath, but the lead and thin layer of filler that they put on and then sanded smooth.

Michael, here's the story about taking apart the front suspension and springs on my 330 GT: http://www.parrotbyte.com/kbc/ferrari/FrontSuspension1.htm As for the spring compressor I used, there's very little room to use one that fits on the outside. I tried an internal one that I couldn't make work....

According to the part book, it's a hydraulic switch, actuated solely by the pressure in the master cylinder. It screws onto the end of the master cylinder (Tav 31 of the early parts book). So I would guess that the switch is bad. BTW, the switch on the later 330 GTs is mounted on the brake equalizer...

You can look at http://www.parrotbyte.com/330GTRegistry/?7859 for information on this car for sale by Heritage.
Originally a Swiss car, it's been in Arizona since '74. The speedometer must have rolled over at least once as the mileage in 10/74 was 50K miles (80K km).

Veloce Press (http://www.velocepress.com) has reprinted this book. Evidently they don't sell directly any more as the link for that book takes you to Amazon.com. The price there is $34.95.

This car is 4975 and yes it was sold by Sheehan last year. See
http://www.parrotbyte.com/330GTRegistry/?4975 for more history.
According to the Kruse website, the high bid was $58,000 but that must have been below the reserve since the car was not marked as sold.

Yes, this is the same car, SN 8373. See http://www.parrotbyte.com/330GTRegistry?8373 . I saw it at Symbolic a few weeks ago. It's quite nice. Symbolic had it for sale on their website for 79K last year and then 75K this February. A lot of money for a 330 GT, no matter what the condition. Regards, Ke...

Why it hasn't sold?
Because they were asking 215K in 2001 and the highest any of the ebay auctions has come up with is 140K.

Ferrari Owner's Site - Car Certification
Evidently the Ferrari Owner's Site ( http://www.owners.ferrari.com ) has eliminated the ability to request a build sheet or heritage certificate. In place of those documents is a Car Certification process. A certificate will be required in 1/2004 for all cars entering in official Ferrari (presumably...

The serial number ranges that Gerald Roush (Ferrari Market Letter) uses for 330 GTs are: 1963 4359-5091 1964 5093-5973 1965 5975-7581 1966 7583-9249 1967 9251-10831 Ferrari didn't really 'do' model years until the US required them in the early 70s for emission standards. My car (8755) is titled as a...

5721 is on an ebay auction right now.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 2427047416
Note that it does not have the original engine. The internal motor number is too high and there is no chassis number stamped on the block.
