Incidentally, many cars seem to have the fuel pump wired to be always on. My 365 is this way. No pump problems so far in 12 years.

I've been rereading the Henry Manney article as a result of this thread, and he was rather prescient: "Hoo boy. Wouldn't that engine go nicely in a Lotus 23?" Actually, I think the whole section is worth quoting (line breaks and typos mine): "This test came about because a well-known citizen of Purl...

The article talked about Surtees replacing the steering wheel, and intending to replace it again.
YAlso in the pictures on Kerry's site it still had the original steering wheel - like the one Mr. Ferrari had in his car.
It certainly looks like the car in the article-- Manney describes it as "an uninspiring shade of maroon"-- although it doesn't look like Surtees' special steering wheel is still installed.

Do you have a copy of the Henry Manney article about that car?

"Take her up to Spa said Fearless John. So we did..."

It's in Brooklands "Ferrari Collection No. 1" although I do not know exactly which magazine the original article is from.

I have P4000s on my 365 2+2, and they're great.

My problem is the Boxer-- other than the XWX, I can't seem to find a reasonable tire which will fit the rear wheels.

Is rust really that much of a problem on 365GT 2+2s? My personal experience, and everything that I've heard, is that it's not that big of a deal. Of course it's a possibility, but nothing like, say, a Daytona, where I've been told by people that know that *every* Daytona either has had or will have ...

Can you post them here? I'm not registered on Ferrari Forum, and I'd just as soon not add another site.

I guess I should have included a URL-- http://www.ferraris-online.com.

In fact, here is one:

I'm sure there are others on there as well.

Mine is a 512BB, so can't help you directly. However, if you look at Michael Sheehan's website under "Cars we sold" you will find many Boxers, with detailed pictures of everything, including the engine bay. That way you can at least look at other examples and see if there is a common finish. I have ...

Tom Shaughnessy. And if you get a hold of him, ask him to give me a call! I've been trying to buy a Boxer toolkit from him for months.

My 365GT 2+2 electric pump is wired to be on all the time, regardless of switch position (done by a previous owner). However, your mention of fire hazard is a very good point-- maybe I should rethink this.
If you choose to use your electric pump all the time keep in mind that a crash...

I recently bought a 512BB as well, and I also think they are a bargain at current prices. After all, the BB was the super car of it's era. The BB and Testarossa are the only top of the line 2-seat Ferraris available under $100k. However, all that said, I wouldn't look for any huge appreciation in th...

I don't know anything about that specific car, but if you buy it you will have the same collection I have! You probably already know this, but Raab says it was built for "Limarilli" in Italy, #313. I'd probably look at it-- Queen prices have been going up lately. And they are pretty rugged cars as l...

Yes, I bought my 456 from them. I feel that they treated me very well, the car was as represented, and they delivered on everything they promised. Greg, especially, is a great guy and a straight shooter. I would have no hesitation about buying from them again, although of course I would get a PPI, a...
