I use both Airflow and Ctek battery conditioners. Both work very well but my preference would be for the Airflow unit as it has a LED meter which indicates the battery charge level when you first attach it.

I need to put new tires on the 512 BB. Currently it is running Michelin XWX's 215/70/15 front and 225/70/15 rear. One option is to move to Pirelli P6000 215/60/V 15 front and 225/60/V 15 rear. Does anyone have any experience doing this ?

For us non-Aussies, I would put Vegimite in the acquired taste category. Some love it, others......

My problem is the Boxer-- other than the XWX, I can't seem to find a reasonable tire which will fit the rear wheels. I just posted a spreadsheet on the followig which lists possible Boxer options: http://www.ferrarilife.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5096 hope it is of help. I currently have BF Goodrich...

I believe it is a dull silver but woud recommend checking directly with Ferrari. You can send the inquiry directly via:

Slightly off Topic: Maserati Ghibli 4.7 ?

Does anyone have any experience with a Maserati Ghibli ? Are they good drivers cars and how easy are they to maintain ?

Boxers are great drivers cars and I believe one of the few "bargains" in the Ferrari world right now. I have had a 512 BB for a couple of years and with regular maintenance, it has been the most reliable Ferrari I have owned. In fact I am now looking for a 365 BB to fill the empty garage space next ...

Boxer42, The GTC/4 does have the sidedraught carbs that block the cam cover, and these need to be removed before much can be done beneath them, which makes maintenance take more time, and therefore more expensive. But there are also 2 cams per bank lurking there, which also make valve adjustments, ...
