Hi Luke, What's interesting is if you look at the trunk area, it looks like the rear frame rails are missing. Although the front portion exists because you can see the chassis stamp, I don't think this is a complete chassis. Perhaps the rear section was cut out for another car because the part that ...

Hi Sloper,

Contact

and see if they can find you a set. They're not cheap, but then again, neither are the lights!

The Forum is back and Operational!

I think I've successfully transferred the forum to the new server, so lets get down to the business of Ferrari discussion!

I think these plugs sell for about $50 bucks used. Anybody can confirm this? If they need rechroming, that'll add to the cost. If we have a few made up, it'll probably be cheaper. I know I'll eventually need 4 of them!

Olio,

I changed some links on your post, and it worked for me after I saved it to disk as a *.exe file on a windows machine. Looks great! Now the question is will these things be cheaper to make than what is already available?

Thanks for the effort! It looks great!

Hi Andrew, I worked on upholstery this week so I didn't get a chance to discuss any of this with Francois. A dial indicator will show when a valve is fully open, but I'm not sure how you would attach this to a cam like the one pictured. Anybody more knowledgeable? http://www.tomyang.net/cars/275moto...

AKB, The constant is the flywheel and piston postition, the variable is the cam position and the actual placement of the lobe due to twist and regrind, so I would imagine the degree wheel is mounted on the flywheel, and the lift of the valve is measured in accordance to the position of the piston. A...

Hi Pete, Don't get me started on foresight! $0.50 per car @ 20,000 units, and an accountant saved the company $10,000 bucks, that's how they justify it, but simultaneously destoying an industry. You can imagine it still happens to this day at Ford or GM where their production runs are in the hundred...

Andrew,

The engine stand is fabricated from two stands. Some thoughts on building one can be found here:

Hi Pete, You are correct. The driveshaft for the overdrive is shorter, so when I bought the overdrive, I got the driveshaft with the unit. When I wake the Sunbeam up from its winter sleep, everything should be ready for the transplant. Maybe British engineers wanted a universality to their products,...

Hi Luke, I bought a couple of Sears overalls, and I guess my body proportions fit a little better, but do have to watch your "positioning" when bending a certain way! They were great for when I was scraping the undercoating, and applying POR-15. I just shuddered at the thought! I wonder if they sell...

Hi Ian, On a V-12 engine, the cams span across 6 cylinders, and over time will twist slightly. Rewelding, and regrinding may correct some of the lobes, but checking the work, and the accuracy of the cam, with a timing wheel insures this. Francois takes pride in checking this with every engine rebuil...

Hi Gino, Welcome to my site. There are a couple of 356GT 2+2 owners that are very knowledgeable on these cars, and I'm sure they will help if they know of cars with hood scoops. In the 60s, the Ferrari Factory would do anything the customer wanted for a price, so I wouldn't be surprised about the sc...
