Mystery Part

Hi Tom,

Those pieces go under the cowl section where the door meets. It's there to help drain water away. You should see them just as you open the door under the section where the front fender meets up with the cowl section, held on by 3 or 4 screws.

Re: Oil Flush ??

I will have to check but the 250 GTE was something like 62-65lbs.

I was only able to torque to about 55lbs without fear.

I believe the 330 is less than the 250 GTE. I have the torque specs at home..just not available to me right now as I'm at work.

Re: Oil Flush ??

Jim is spot on! Retorque the heads this may very well solve your problems. I had a similar problem with my 250 a few weeks ago. After retorquing the problem seems to be gone, however I'm still using a raditor cap that is not holding much pressure. (The problem started when I replaced the old cap wit...

Re: GTE engine bay drain tubes

interestingly, I noticed the drain hoses in a friends series II cab. The drain hose is on the right side and loops around and is visiable just by the battery where it dumps water. I assume there is only one for the cowl.... are there two? When I get a chance I'll look at the left side. My car is als...

Re: Cavallino 2010

Hey Tom, Windshield's back in... not to my liking though, gasket still flopping under the roof line. I will pull out the windshield again this fall/winter and try some shims or hope an original glass pops up. I also plan on pulling the heads this winter to adjust the rocker arms as they are not hitt...
