Re: Checking the oil level in a GTE gearbox

Tom,
I found the access cover right where you said it should be, but covered by a layer of insulation. When I first looked I had removed the cover for the overdrive, but didn't see any sign of another panel.
William, I have a series III, sn 4151.
Thanks for the assistance.

Re: Checking the oil level in a GTE gearbox

Tom
I'll have to check it again tomorrow, but I had the access cover off this weekend and couldn't get to the gearbox fill plug; the fill plug for the overdrive can be accessed though. I was planning on using 90 wt in the gearbox and 30 in the overdrive. I'll let you know what I find.
Thank you.

I've considered trying to build a ramp, putting it on jack stands, and digging a trench in the front yard but decided to ask for advice before going to any extremes.
Thanks

Fiamm horn compressor

I'm hoping someone can help me with the wiring on the compressor for my Fiamm Roadmaster horns. On the bottom of the compressor there are 2 screws; one is marked with an "H", the other has a silver arrow shaped clamp on it. I'm assuming that the ground is the black wire coming from the case. Can any...
