Daytona Gear Oil
Just changed the gear oil in my Daytona after 3 years. Had Redline NS 75/90 with 4oz GM limited slip additive. The car shifted well but the differential clutch packs chattered quite a bit. On some research I saw Dyke had used Mobil 1 LS with the a limited slip additive. This is what I tried this tim...

Re: leather steering wheel restoration
I used Alan Gun (the last name may be incorrect) in 2011 for a Daytona wheel. He took quite a while but I was pleased with the result.

Re: Daytona Header Clean UP
Thanks guys. After doing some additional research (looking at the parts manual) which I should have done before, it shows the headers that I have with the sample tubes. I am told that all Euro Daytona's had this system after 72 and 73 thanks to EPA. When the Euro Daytona's came to the states to be f...

Daytona Header Clean UP
I have the headers out of my Daytona to rebuild the starter. My Daytona is a euro car and somewhere along the line it was federalized to some extent by drilling into each exhaust header (6 per side) and welding on air injection ports. They are not used and look ugly. Was wondering how difficult it w...

512BB No Spark
Hi folks, Need a little help troubleshooting a 512BB. Its stock and runs a Marelli AEC 104 BK Digiplex, Marelli BAE 202 B coil and has inductive pickup. I have verified no spark. I have contact from the end of the coil cord that goes to the coil to the distributor carbon tip. The Digiplex is still m...

Re: 512BB Fan Motor
I have not pulled the fan motor yet. I had one of these a part a couple of years ago and sent it out to be rebuilt. You have to remove the front clip to get at the fan - not that bad in a Boxer though. It may be the that the brushes have disintegrated as well. All the motors are a little different. ...

512BB Fan Motor
One of the fan motors on my 512BB is making a horrible noise. I suspect its the bearing. I called around to a couple of local shops and have not had any luck getting someone to rebuild it; says the bearing are imposible to fine. Does anyone know a source to rebuild these. Would like to stay with the...

Re: Daytona Shock Removal and Rebuild
Timo,
Look at the top pic of the RR. I believe it is not right.
It should be like the 3rd pic which is of the LR.
Right?

Re: Daytona Shock Removal and Rebuild
Resurrecting this thread as I am just noticing something. I had my Daytona shocks rebuilt using new rubber spring stops over a year ago by True Choice in Ohio. And I installed them at that time. My Daytona has developed a "creek" coming from the right rear. I have traced it to the point where the to...

Re: GTC oil hose
Make sure the orientation of the fittings on the end are the same when you replace the hose. Hard to man handle that one.
