Re: 365GT 2+2 Queen Mum Tail Light Bezel Paint
I had a gentleman call me just last week asking for the same information, as Tom say the Krypon "Dull Aluminum" paint is the best solution I've found. We think it was some form of plating process originally but I have yet to fi...

Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration
Tom, just a quick note there is an attachment for the boroscope camera that allows you to look back up at the valve face or top of the combustion chamber. Kind of like a reverse periscope, saved my behind more than once to see a stuck valve etc. Marvel Mystery oil is a go to fix to get things moving...

Re: Insurance adjustment needed?
Tom and Tom, Can you confirm for me that the €280.000($381,000) was the final price or the hammer price? I was under the impression that was the hammer price so commionsions and VAT plus any taxes would be on top of that. Either way it's a crazy number for a GTE not to mention a GTE with the engine ...

Re: Hose clamp ID
They are called Angst clamps and were used throughout the 365 series cars, GTC,GTS,Daytona and GTC/4 as well as on the Dinos both 206 and 246. The parts manuals for all those cars show the specific clamp for the location and system for the car, if your 330 is late in the run its possible those are o...

Re: U Joint
Funny you would post that, I was just working on a GTE today that had the same treatment on the u-joint. Seamed to work just fine with the wires on there and I cant see them causing a problem being on there, my thought was that someone did it to store the joint or perhaps they were shipped that way ...

Re: rear diff leaks
John, That brings back scary memories of a time I had the same thing happen when I was testing a overdrive on a car with the tunnel off while I sat inside the car. All I heard was the bang and the chunk of rubber must have just missed my head before hitting the a-pillar door jam bending the metal a ...

Re: Ashes to Ashes
Kare, all well and good that 2217 did not come with a reverse lamp originally but somewhere along the way a hole was put in the car for the mounting and wiring of a reverse lamp so now the owner wants one to fill the holes. 2169 did not come with a reverse lamp and the transmission #5E had a boss wh...

Re: Ashes to Ashes
Tom,
Motion Products has that metal sintering maching that could "3d print" the ashtrays but I'm sure it would not be cheep.
Speaking of ashtrays one of my customers could with GTE 2217 could use a pair if ashtrays and a reverse light if anyone knows of some laying around somewhere.

Tom, I had one of those "why do I do this for living" days just today working on a TR. John- like Dyke said a couple hose clamps will do same job as the original metal band, I did a ton of these flex discs/Guibos when I was working on/racing German cars and the easiest and fastest thing I found was ...

We too have the more substantial front plate holder the contours to the bumper on a few cars, harder to come by but I like them better than the sheet metal ones.
