Now this is the kind of exchange that is fun to write & observe. JSA - no problem with the comments because I am indeed a Type A, but most successful entrepreneurs are. I think what all of the commentary boils down to is that we are all unique personalities with unique/different views about classic ...

Ah.....so true, so true. I guess with limited resources, we all have to make trade-offs as to how many cars we can invest in. If a guy has $400,000 tied up in a single Ferrari but sees 3 other cars at $200K, $100K and $100K available -- each with good upside, then the decision becomes whether to kee...

Thanks Yale -- if a car is on the Internet, I can find it because I've got 10-15 European sites Bookmarked. I also use www.mobile.de (the Autotrader of Europe) in case you want to add this to your browser Bookmarks. I've already emailed Movendi and I have a colleage in Cologne, Germany who can check...

Gentlemen - after some great threads on the Lusso topic, it appears that the prices on these cars continue to push upward of $425,000 and so I'm not likely to find a good car for the budget I have allocated (defined as how much of my retirement account I am willing to plunder). So I have accepted th...

I talked with the owner and am within $10K of having a deal done. Hope to have a signed Bill of Sale with him within 24 hours and I have a call into Gary Bobileff now to see who he recommends for a quality Prepurchase Inspection in the Beverly Hills area. If anyone has got a PPI contact/recommendati...

I've checked the Lamborghini Registry and the only thing a bit peculiar is that the chassis # 0232 is a duplicate to another car listed in the registry. The black/saddle car is shown (picture circa 2000) as having been owned in Canada and underwent some mechanical restoration around that time before...

Art - as a matter of fact, I really like the Lambo 350GT/400GT cars a lot and nearly bought the red 400GT 2+2 on eBay last week -- except the seller (Al Burtoni Lamborghini) would not allow a prepurchase inspection or any review of the documentation on the car. Then Mr. Burtoni cursed me out on the ...

Art - I knew there was a reason I visited this site and didn't make an inquiry about this car! This is unfortunate because the car was in a great location (1 hour NW of Nice, France) as I've travelled to Nice many times and on to Cannes. Here's the wild part about this. An English dealer now has thi...

William - thanks for the heads up as I do watch FerrariBuy.com but the problem with black interiors or exteriors in Texas is that you BAKE in the car when driving it, particularly with no A/C in these cars. The other problems with black exterior paint are well known: (1) shows dust/dirt easily, (2) ...

Art - the 330 America is coming along, but not nearly at the pace I want. The problem is that the Ferrari collision shop that took the project in 2004 has largely been on a "start - stop - start" mode of working on the car for a month then dropping it for 4 months when it gets too many new model Fer...

Art - sorry, I got the story reversed. I thought the car was originally brown, then turned to light blue. The interesting thing is that my 330 America is light blue (currently called California Blue) so having a pair that match could be really cool. Will email Steve. Feel free to email me pic's dire...

David - thanks for echoing Art's comments that this car looks best in a rich (not overpowering, nor dull) outer color and the tan/saddle is probably the best interior choice to show off the contrasting black dash and rear deck quilt stitching. Art - I'm sure a stupid question, but do you know the wh...
