Pins vs. Bolts BUMP

Darren made beautiful pins for the 330GT door check straps. A photo of them is at the end of his thread "330GT 2+2 Door Checkstrap Questions????" Kerry posted a photo of the pins on his car which I repeat here: P1030331.jpg I tried to make a poll of 330GT owners to see if anyone else had the check s...

Re: Pins 1, Bolts 4

Well, looking at the strap and how it slides, I agree that it is obvious that it cannot be painted.

Pins 1, Bolts 4

In my BUMP. SO? thread and in the last two posts in Darren's 330GT 2+2 Door Checkstrap Questions???? thread, we have the result of the poll, such as it is: 330 Door restraining strap attachment to body five responses: 1 clevis pin, 4 bolts (as shown in my photo in my previous post.) So I appears tha...

330GT Door stop strap ?

Kerry has been examining my 330GT Series II with his microscopic eye. My car has bolts that attach the door stop straps to the body as shown in the photo. Kerry thinks that this should not be a bolt but rather a clevis pin with no washers, just a cotter key. I would appreciate it if a couple of 330G...

Re: Tool Bag. Again and again and again and ...

I forgot to mention that there is an advantage of having having two bags.
They can be nicely nestled about the spare tire without intruding into the open trunk space.
Btu maybe that can be done with the larger one-bag setup, but perhaps not so easily.

Re: No good coil

How about measuring the resistance of the primary and secondary coils? The primary coils contact to the posts with nuts and should not have a lot of resistance. The secondary would be where the wire to the distributor plugs in and where the coil is grounded. This circuit should have a lot of resista...

330GT Rear Suspension Rebuild

Self Advertisement Re: Maintenance Post by 330GT » Sat Jun 29, 2013 11:13 pm Lowell documented the work he did on his rear suspension and I edited it into a web page. This might be useful as it is more of the step by step process needed to rebuild the rear suspension on an early Ferrari. See http://...

Re: Radiator Time

Thanks Lowell, what about the coating effect of the paint itself, does an un-coated surface allow the heat within to escape faster than a coated surface? john If the surface were black somehow, it might be very slightly better. It is true that heat must be conducted across the thickness of the pain...
