Re: The Best Penetrating Oil

Interesting. How much power steering fluid percentage wise? Of course many PS units actually use ATF, and some European cars like my wife's Volvo use some stuff called Pentosin - an hydraulic fluid, so what kind of ATF do you recommend?

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!

Assuming this is the same car we talked about at dinner in Monterey last year, it's been in play for quite some time. Congratulations on landing it.

Re: 250 GT/E Video

Nice clip of a solid driver GTE, but whomever did that interior should be shot. He also seems to have lost the trip piece on the hood. But my favorite comment is that his car "..sounds as good as the million dollar ones..".

My interior dilemma is solved!

All: My dilemma about who should do the interior on my Series II Cab were solved tonight with a single click on e-bay. Jeez - why didn't I think of this before? And so much less expensive than I was going to pay. The ad says they're the right fit for the car and everything. What do you think? http:/...

Hey Tom:

Sorry you won't be attending - was kind of counting on continuing the fun from last month. Will hope to see you next year or sooner locally.

Re: Still looking for 250GT/E 4959

A shame. Looks like 4959 was a really nice example. Did the new owner say what the powerplant in the car is now? Will also be an Concorso, so can take a look then.

Hate to be anal, but isn't it Petroske, with an "e"? Interesting guy - I've dealt with him a few times, so seeing hims operation via this thread has been a welcome peek behind the curtain.

Hmmm... here's the page on pot metal, but I somehow can't go back in and edit my previous post to add the link, so here 'tis separately.

Re: Re-Chrome Tail Light Housings?

Well, here's the thing about the pitting. These parts are good old pot metal. The pitting is caused by porosity in the castings. Mine on the cabriolet were pretty pitted, and I sent them to a gent who drills out the pits and them fills them with silver solder or something in the same vein, then re-c...

Re: The Road Trip to Cavallino Begins!

Tom:

Had a similar problem on my Cab, which turned out to be a sticking piston seal in the master cylinder. In my case, it was the rear brakes which were affected. Best of luck, and props to you for your perseverance in getting your car to the event.

Re: Sheet metal work on 4HL 330 GT

I wish the pics on the TinMan page were cliackable - I'd like to see the one of the repaired rocker area enlarged. It looks as though a lot of work went into that alone. Wonder what the bill was?
