Exhaust system
Hi, I bought an exhaust system from Stebro and it doesn’t seem to fit right. The distance from the exhaust tip to the first bend differs by 2” on either side and Stebro says this is correct. Also the hangers don’t line up right and some of the bends don’t seem to be in the right place. Does anyone h...

Well, the problem went away. I’m glad I didn’t remove the heads. Once again my intra oral camera saved me, I see they have some cheep ones on eBay for under $50. I don’t know about the quality though. I recommend having one on hand; they work much better than bore scopes and can be used to see all s...

I had a frightening weekend, I was running the car and held my hand over the header outlets and the inside header on the left side sucked my hand back as it was running, the others were just fine. I worried that I may have bent a valve so I removed the valve cover and rechecked valve lash it was ok....

air cleaner housing finish?
Can someone tell me what the correct finish is for the air cleaner housing? I have seen photos of gloss, satin and wrinkle finish.
Thanks, Dan

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Jim, I tried the timing light test and all cylinders are firing well. Rudy, When setting up the cam timing I spent an entire afternoon fussing and rechecking to be sure I had it perfect. The popping seems worse though at higher rpm, I will try checking for vacuum...

I am running NGK BP6ES plugs and the compression on #6 is 140. I checked the wire at the cap and it was rotated slightly so that the wire that I bent over wasn’t making contact with the pin but I would have thought the pin would have pierced far enough into the jacket to reach the core. I checked af...

Exhaust Popping?
After many years on and off working on this car I finally fired it up yesterday for the first time in fifteen years. I did a ring and valve job along with new bearings way back when I started and have now finished with completely refurbishing the fuel system with new hoses, pumps, filters etc…,Rebui...

Thanks, I figured out the door switch problem this morning and I am very embarrassed to say that the pads on the doors that push on the switches had dimples worn in them so they were not pushing the switch far enough to turn off the lights. I wasted hours looking in all the wrong places. At least th...

Wiring Questions
I have two wiring questions I hope someone can help me with. First is that the interior lights in the foot well areas won’t turn off. I took apart the door switches and cleaned them up and they tested ok but we still have light. Second, I have a green mystery wire along the fire wall that looks orig...

I thought it was far fetched that Ferrari could make that mistake. The wear looks like it was caused by under inflation, all four tire have wear on the inside and outside shoulders. I know my father would always check tire pressure before going for a drive, perhaps his gage was crap. The car has bee...

Can anyone suggest a good tire? I don’t want to spend over $400 per tire for the XWX
