Re: Trunk latch

Greetings... The latch looks to be correctly assembled. When I can get the file downsized (when I can figure out how to do that) I'll post a pic but it does look right

Re: Finding TDC

Greetings... Steve, your best bet is to find some way to put the flywheel on. Those marks will be accurate.

Re: Finding TDC

Greetings... I agree with Tom. I can't imagine what would make the PM marks move. If they were on a damper with a rubber mount, they definetly need checking. I've not checked my Ferrari but have done so on the Morgans and several others. Just what are you up to.

Re: Finding TDC

Greetings... You can use a piston stop to find TDC on any engine with pistons that go up and down to find Sto-Vo-Kor.

Re: Coil Red Paint

Greetings... John, when you say "later" coils, what years are you referring to. I just ordered a spray can of something that looks (on the screen anyway) like a very good match to the remaining little bit of original color on mine. I'll let you know.

Re: Painting a V12 engine

Greetings... Many years ago, Ferrari restorer Larry Taylor suggested 57 (or 58) Cadillac rajah silver enamel with a hardener. I used this maybe 30-35 years ago and now, the the engine out, all I will need to do is give it a bath. The heads will need repainting as they have been blasted but the rest ...

Re: Help identifying radiator blind control.

Greetings... John, Tom, being an east coaster, isn't familiar with those brisk summer days here in North California. Temps dropping below 90F. Grab a sweater. Take a look in McMaster and Carr for stainless wire rope. You should be able to find a 7-19 in 1/16 inch and it is much more flexible than bi...

Re: Exhaust System Paint

Greetings... I had mine done by Jet Hot in satin black maybe 35 years ago. They still look great and will require just a soapy water bath before re-installing them. My original reason for Jet Hotting them was protection as they coat them inside and out. Cosmetics were second and there is no rust or ...
