Followed the instructions and the timing magically
got set within 5 minutes.
She is still running fuel rich so now turning attention
to setting the carbs.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?

I am having a little problem in setting the timing. This is the timing procedure followed before starting the engine. First rotated the engine and took cylinder nr 1 to TDC - Top Dead Centre. The engine has started!
We keep it running for about an hour everyday to
Seat and seal everything properly.
In the meanwhile have started working on the
Brakes and the suspension.
Need suggestions on where to buy pistons and seals
for all 4 calipers?

That's the information i needed.
Now that the resistor has arrived the plan
Is to start the engine, run it for some time
Before sending the harmonic balancer off to
the usa for a rebuild.

Thanks for the reply Yale. The background is as follows. If you recall i had done a complete rebuild of the engine And then sent the car for paint. While at the paint shop the car seemed to have been left out in the rain and when i got it back the engine had seized again. That required another round...
