Interim cars have the Series II closed air cleaner with three small air filters. I don't know if they use the same air filters as the Series I individual open style air cleaners.

Hey thanks for the link Kerry.

I was a little unsure, but I thought that there should be a factory shield there, as well as on the other side. They were obviously missing when I bought the car. I saw the mounting screw holes for it. In fact I used the existing holes to mount the shield I fabbed. I may go back and do another one f...

I just finished mounting the first MSD box in the passenger side front wheel well at the rear. I was able to drill three of the mounting stud location holes into the engine bay and it made them easily accessible with the battery removed. The fourth mounting stud hole I had access by removing the int...

Another point to make is about the nuts that hold the air filter assembly in place. Originally, I believe they came with washers and nylock nuts. We usually eliminate the washers and use only the nylock nuts. There is usually enough material for the nuts to hold down the air cleaner. Eliminating th...

Throttle Linkage Detail

Here's a pic of my throttle linkage. Is this detailed properly? Anything else that seems out of place? Thanks

Thanks for the advise Kerry. I have to buy one set of points as I found a broken tension spring on one of the sets. On another note, I pulled out an old MSD 6AL ignition box that I use to run on one of my Boss 302s and reviewed the instructions. I have some questions for you guys after reading the i...

Okay I removed the distributors, coils and the resistors today. The points don't look as bad as I initially thought, but there is a small amount of pitting. The service records indicate they were replaced 2000 miles ago. Do you guys think filing them will be okay, as Tom suggested? I am just using t...

I'm not sure stressing your driving pleasure while driving your vintage Ferrari for the sake of utilizing an unobtainable Marelli resistor is worth the risk, or headache as it may turn out. I want the pleasure of driving my car and I want it to look as beautiful as possible while trying to retain as...

... It seems this whole issue is now turning into a project? Coils...resistors...wiring...points...and I'm sure it goes on from there...lol Lets see. Perhaps you should change the spark plug wires too. Then you might as well wrinkle paint the tubes while the wires are out. Since you are already wri...
