Re: Oil Change
Ok thanks men. I'll let you know how it goes. Is it necessary to change the two oil filters each time one changes the oil? My problem is that I don't have a benchmark by which to tell when they were changed last...but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Is there a way to tell if a change of filters i...

Re: Finding the VIN on the 365 GT 2+2
Mark - let me know what you come up with price wise...I just bought and installed a new Ansa system for my Queen. I had to order the mufflers separately from the tailpipe section due to availability issues...Happy to help from a sourcing standpoint if you run into any snags. The car ripped before......

Oy. Yeah...I think the door panel is comin' off. I think I'll wait until I get back from San Diego, though.
Thanks everyone. And Mark, the 27F battery is exactly the right one. Fits like a glove, too. Thank you.

Re: Left Window Issue + mystery electronics? Queen Mother
Hey - and thanks. That makes total sense re: the lights...thank you! Any luck in finding the bulbs and/or the lenses anywhere in the past? Re: windows - yes...I have learned that if you don't get off of the switch at exactly the right moment there is a 'crunching' sound. My wife said "that doesn't s...

Left Window Issue + mystery electronics? Queen Mother
I had to replace the fuse for the left window 'lift' (which was, by the way, marked as the right window lift on the fuse box plate. I think Ferrari was f'n with us). Now the left deflector window works (so I know it was indeed the fuse) and the main window goes up electronically, but will not go dow...

Anyone have advice about what brand battery is best for the 365 GT 2+2 or vintage Ferrari in general?

SF-LA-San Diego and back...this Thursday and Friday
I need to be in LA and San Diego on business later this week and am thus rollin' the Queen down the coast and back. Probably on Thursday/Friday. It would be great to stop by and grab a coffee with any other vintage Ferrari owners (or enthusiasts) along the way. It's a quick trip but if there is anyo...

Re: Finding the VIN on the 365 GT 2+2
Many thanks guys. The gal at the DMV kept calling the Queen Maserati. After a few futile attempts at correcting her I just went with it..."Now that is one old Maserati"

Ferris Buehler's Day Off Re-Dux
For those of you who haven't seen it, Ferris Buehler (played by Matthew Broderick) convinces his pal to take his Dad's 250 GT California out for a day on the town while playing hooky. When they went to park the car at a garage, the 'parking guys' of course took the car out and drove it hard - real h...
