Re: Recording Exhaust Notes...
Yeah - I have run it by Tom but he is up to his ears with cars and stuff so also wanted to see if anyone else has any thoughts.

Recording Exhaust Notes...
Anyone audiophiles out there with some advice as to how best to record the sounds from our exhausts? I don't want to break the bank, but I also want gear that will correctly capture the exhaust note with the goal of recording my new Ansa exhaust system in my Queen along with a few other Queens - inc...

Re: Road Trip!
Hey Dick - I'll send you a PM as well...but I just saw this. I am planning on heading down to Dino Motors today (Wed). You avail this afternoon? And indeed maybe we can record the note from the your exhaust and my newly installed Ansa system. We'll be able to provide guys with a good reference point...

Re: Road Trip!
P.S. Johannes has some cool cars at his shop including a 365 GTC/4 that arrived on a trailer from the paint shop as I was pulling up. It is the same color as my Queen - a dark blue. It's a gorgeous color on the C/4 as the black front bumper nicely fades into the dark blue. And I was there when they ...

Re: Road Trip!
Hey Dick - Not sure when you were at Johannes' shop but I was there mid-morning and probably just missed you. It would be great to meet you and to see your car. I hope to be a shop-rat if Johannes will let me on Tuesday and watch him finish installing the Ansa exhaust system. Are you free Tuesday af...

Re: Michelspin
I think the theory re: weight distribution is a fair one and I am sure that has something to do with it. But it's not necessarily only when there are passengers in the rear seats. I think it's probably a combination of a few things, including weight, shocks, suspension, etc. as there are probably a ...

Note to self: Go easy on the Queen's accelerator in driving rain storms while commuting (with carpool people in the back seats). The Michellins don't exactly grab the road - they sort of spin around corners...Tom - you warned me. What are the options? Pirelli P4000?

Re: Queen Mother Shift Knob
yeah - and I agree on needing a caveat - but I looked for my Queen for quite some time and saw a lot of cars...never saw one with anything but the spherical shifter (notice the lack of use of 'knob'!) My manual has the 330 style shifter in the pictures - thus the reason for my inquiry in the first p...

Re: Queen Mother Shift Knob
Thanks Tom Kizer for the detail - much appreciated. The maturity level of this forum is that of about the eighth grade - that's why I love it! I'll think twice before I call anything a 'knob' again...

Queen Mother Shift Knob
My 365 GT 2+2 currently has a plain 'round' shift knob. I have seen a few other Queens with similar knobs, but have also seen a few with knobs that are similar to that on a 330 GTC - with more of a two finger grip. Is there a 'correct' knob for the 365 GT 2+2?

Carpool
I drove my 365 GT 2+2 to work today --- stopping first in the carpool area which allows you to pick up passengers so you can blow through all of the traffic on the SF Bay Bridge. I think we have a few new vintage Ferrari enthusiasts as of this morning, including a lady who sat in the back seat and s...
