Took me a long time but here is supporting info: 1963 ATS 2500GT Two of Ferrari's leading engineers, Chiti and Bizzarini, were eager to build Italy's first mid-engined sports car, but Mr. Ferrari would have none of it. For this reason, and some other disenchantments, these two and a few others struc...

I believe it is an ATS (Automobili Turismo e Sport) which was designed by Bizzarrini (along with Chiti and Gardini who left Ferrari in 1962 ...

Yes, I've pre-fitted the grille to the car, and thankfully it fits!

Tom

P.S. Did you get my PM?
Tom replied to PM.

Car will look so much better with the grill and it has been such an effort, well heck you deserve a beer ... when it's in though! ;-)

I do hope you have trial fitted the grill

I do hope you have trial fitted the grill ... I know it is supposed to be an exact copy, but nothing like fitting it to make sure (ie. maybe the cars hole has been changed).

I can just imagine the tears if after all your work it doesn't fit ... :-(

Best of luck.

Seems like another case of the Italian eye being distracted

... or dropping the ball ;-) One of the funny/weird things about my Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV is that if you close either door while the front seat is lent forward (so somebody can get in or out of the rear seat area) then you will smash the door arm rest!!! Thus you try finding an original arm rest for t...

Tom,

I think I need to see a picture of the seat ... and especially this offending screw, and what it does.

I find it amazing that Ferrari have made the interior space so tight ... must be nice wide comfortable seats.

Seat screw scuffing door trim suggestion

Tom, Why not simply move the seats inwards by 5 - 10mm each side? ... by say altering how the seat frames connect to the seat rails on the floor. You would not even notice and this would give that little bit more clearance to the door trim. I don't know if this is feasible? ... though due to other i...

Andrew,

This person on FerrariChat is looking for 365 GTC/4 headers and has the motor only ... I've asked the question, and probably nothing to do with your motor, but here is the link anyway:

I immediately picked up on the Pontiac/Ferrari GTO comparison from Car and Driver in'64. I think that article did indeed launch C/D's success in auto journalism. It was very sensational at the time. I owned a new '66 Pontiac "Goat", and it was a great car. Pontiac got it right -- my '64 330 2+2 is ...

It seems to me, that, this makes a good case for synthetic oil, like Amsoil. Which, has a much higher flash point, for the heat side, and runs much cooler, but, also has higher film strength, which means that oil stays in the bearings, and very importantly, sticks to the cylinder walls after drain ...

When cold, grinding the engine with the starter should be kept to a minimum. It's not good for the engine and it's not good for the starter motor. The choke helps minimize that grinding and the rest is old wives’ tale. Make sure the choke cable is kink free and well lubricated. I have fashioned a c...
