Differential oil
Ok guys, time to change the diff in #9727, where the heck do you find 250 wt? Is there a better alternative, now 35 years since the spec? Michael Bayer

Easy to check. Pull the cable out from the speedometer head end, if the other(transmission) end is of four sides its all there, in one piece. You can spin that cable wo the sheath but reinserted in the speedometer socket and at hand speeds will get some movement on the dial if the mechanism is funct...

Too low on the V-12 Food Chain??
I just wrote to Keith Brumel who manages the Guida (price section) for Cavallino. I noted he breaks out the 456s into three separate listings but combines the 330 Series I and II in one listing. I asked him to reconsider as they are so different a vehicle in their characteristics: 4 speed overdrive ...

Another opinion:The later cars have two motor mount engines, though are still 209s but I see no other material difference. Mine #9727 has PS and AC and they work fine, they are mostly US components (York compressor for example) and the car's cabin is small enough that a conversion to a freon alterna...

Mike: I thought I had someone to stretch my springs but that fell through, who did the work for you? I wonder if I could ship mine to him and have them done? Key would be if he remembered what the end point was, how tall they were when he reinstalled them. Any further details would be most welcome, ...

Miike: I did not know there were two groves! Assembled, what I see under mine is what I have always assumed is the turned in lip of the spring case at he very bottom, then about 1/2" above that is where the retainer clip is set. Is that very bottom roll in the case the lowest setting? How far up fro...

Caution that the cars seem to be tail high even with the proper springs, mine and Ned Lawler's are 14.5" from the center of the hubs to the top of the front wheel cut out and 16.5" on the rear and Ned's has brand new factory spec springs. Perhaps this was to accomodatethe weight of 4 pasta enriched ...

Tom Jaarda interview
Buddy Obara and I met with Tom Jaarda the gentleman who designed the 330GT for Pininfarina at the Pocono Concourse Sunday. We had a great discussion of what Tom was trying to accomplish in his design, Enzo's initial reactions when he saw the completed concept, and his favorite parts of the car. Budd...
