In response to DMC, I have SN 4221 and am planning to put a 330 engine and 5 speed transmission in that I purchased. The mounts are different, but the fabrication will not be difficult. The biggest challenge will be to convert the mechanical clutch to the hydraulic version that the five speed requir...

My Ferrari project is just as described. I have a series III chassis and a 330 engine and 5-speed transmission. The engine mount issue is not going to be a big deal. There are other issues that I have not resolved as yet like the difference between a mechanical clutch linkage in the 250 and hydrauli...

I'm with Tom, I see a couple of things that I could use. Who wants to take the plunge?

Gauge lenses for sale

For anyone looking to have a set of small gauge lenses made through Tom Yang, I had a set of English version completed and need Italian instead. My fault for trying to remember what I needed instead of checking personally. I will sell the set at cost to whoever may want them. They have not been inst...

Gauge faces for sale

The faces I ordered are perfect, but it turns out I need the Italian version not English. If anyone is interested in a complete set of five at cost, please send me an e-mail and they are yours.

How to remove dash vents?

Has anyone removed their dash vents on a GTE? I don't want to screw up the paint. It seems it must be in there by some spring tension, but I don't want to test my knowledge.

Please let us know how that goes.

Thanks, Rad

I received my new lenses today from D&M. My thanks to Tom for putting this group deal together. I can hardly wait to get these installed.

John, I actually have a 330 engine so I know that the gearbox will work.

Dag, are you suggesting that the pedal box configuration on a 365 or 330 is adaptable for this application?

Thanks, Rad

5 speed transmission in a GTE

O.K., call me crazy but I'm looking to install a 5 speed transmission out of a 330 in my GTE. The question I have for now is what am I looking at with regard to clutch linkage? Am I correct in thinking that the original GTE set up was a mechanical linkage and the 5 speed is hydraulic? Any comments p...

Does anyone have photo's of a 250 GTE/330 America with alloys? Or, a whiz with photo shop capabilities?

I've been considering such a swap and am curious what the end result might look like.

Aaron,

I'll be camping (in the motorhome) at the track as well. We'll be on the hill above Turn 5. Look for a gaggle of Mini's and various flags. Anyone looking to avoid the traffic leaving the track on Saturday is welcome to swing by and chat.

Tom, where is the get together on Thursday?

If the workmanship meets Tom's standards, I would be in for a GTE set as well.

Can one of you New Yorkers get a photo of the car and in particular the interior? I'm interested to see how the black exterior looks with the interior color that was described.

Thanks, Rad
