Well, as luck would have it, the slot on the column is facing downward. I'll have to jack the front of the car to be able to turn wheels so that the slot faces up. It sure seems the key is longer than the steering column slot, but is this deceptive and will fit with Kerry's technique? The darn thing...

Steering Wheel and Turn Signals
Hi Everyone. I've had a broken turn signal stalk for a long time on my 330GTS. It's broken in the usual spot-thru the plastic that the chrome handle inserts into. Various glue fixits have not been forthcoming. While at Concorso Italiano last month, I came across a booth manned by a fellow named Jim ...

It is rather easy to remove the tach from the dash. Simply unthread the tach cable by reaching from beneath the dash, and unplug the several lamps (label their positions). There may be several clips holding the tach to the back of the fascia. These can be turned/loosened. Then pull the tach out of t...

Concorso Italiano
Tom, I too was disappointed in Concorso Italiano. A dirth of our era of cars, as well as notables, such as the judges of our cars and independent mechanics who work on them. Several years ago, when Concorso was still at Quail Lodge, I remember an independent garage had a tent with a monster old V12 ...

Hi folks, After reading Tom's diary note about 330 GTC/S's front strut mount failures, I went out and looked at my 330 GTS. I remember this issue being discussed with my mechanic, and his confirming at the time (approx 3 yrs. ago) that my car had the retrofit repair. Thus, I've taken two photos and ...

I agree-the older Ferrari market is robust and stable. Any correction with the economy would be modest. But domestic 60's-70's muscle will collapse. How in the heck is a poorly made, poorly handling Ford or Chevy from that era worth 2x to 4x the value of a 275 GTB/4 that is rarer in numbers, hand bu...

IMHO: I feel the overheated domestic muscle car prices are analogous to Ferrari prices of 1989, and will experience the same significant correction. I also think it is more than coincidence that the previous Ferrari bubble/bust occured in sync with a sharp real estate downturn. Collapse of consumer ...

In reply to Rudy's request for a PPI in the Long Beach Area: Norbert Hofer @ Grand Touring Classics is located, I think, in Long beach. He is experienced and reliable. Another person, who worked with Hofer yrs ago, is Carl Steuer @ Black Horse Motors in West L.A. Both can do the PPI. See previous en...
