Happy Ferrari story and Question about oil/water Temp
We have had 2 miserable weeks of rain. This weekend I had to go about 80 miles East of Atlanta to a meeting, and weather was scheduled to be perfect, but cool all weekend. Took the opportunity to drive the 330 about 300 KM, without a hitch. Drove like a new car. An absolute blast. However, the oil a...

Re: GT 330 floor panels
When you find out , pls post as I have a small area when someone did the same thing.I think the mid 60s corvettes used a 2 part epoxy resin with the fiberglass so likely thats what Ferrari used. Bondo also makes "fiberglass resin". here is a pic of the bottom of my console---- is this the color and ...

Re: scissor jack for 330GT
although I havent done it, a cheap way may be to use a 70s mercedes jack like the one attached. I never had a problem with them; smooth operating, sturdy, but you would use the original jack hole if you went this route. the long post always provided some security. the post on my 190SL jack is good c...

Re: points rub block lubrication
pertronix has a few models- Pertronix MR-1121A Ignitor Ignition Module for a 6 lobed cam, and a different model ( I think its 1122 ) for 3 lobed cam. the issue is you need to change the resistance if you go pertronix- too much current and they burn out apparently (I spoke with the engineers after re...

330 GT- A/C modifications and blows cold in ATL
When I purchased my car, the original AZ owner had already redone the AC in the 70s, with a custom bracket for compressor, moving the condenser in the front behind the grill. It no longer worked, and Sanden type wont fit, so I went about replacing items with R134. Only took me a weekend to get it al...

Re: To pop or not
i re-did all my fuel hoses and covered the ones by my facet pump ( which I run all the time) with Earl's Flame Guard. see attached pics.. silica covered fuel resistant heat protection sheathing. Also made a new heat shield and covered it with a reflective material from a speed shop. Actually works w...

Re: vht wrinkle paint
john, i did warm them up a bit with a heat gun, but the fact is because they are 2 pieces of aluminum sandwiched together with thin layer or air in the middle, they really didn't heat up that much. just warm. the key was hanging them outside in the southern exposure atlanta sun in july. for the firs...

Re: R&R A/C condenser 330 GT
330-GT-AC-bracket.jpg 330-GT-AC-bracket-(1).jpg Dan since my condenser is already in a non-eom location in front of the fans and horns, I am not concerned about the originality. I am going for performance. the mods made by the owner appear very thought out. I pulled everything - see pic of the cust...

Re: R&R A/C condenser 330 GT
dan, not sure about that but my AC guys said the serpentine type ( like mine pictured ) are not as efficient as the new parallel flow condensers, so I am going to replace mine. also, the new ones have real fittings, not the push on type, and are less prone to leaking. Once I get it all done, I will ...

330 GT Fog light question
As I was pulling my AC parts, I came across an unattached harness near the drivers front behind the grill. it is held in my one of those old metal ties. It is powered by the switch shown in the pic near my front door jamb (which by the way I only found today after discovering the wiring harness and ...
