Re: Who's Coming To The Monterey Gathering?

save me a spot. Likely coming on the Ducati, to better navigate the traffic jams. And let's hope the future buyer of the 410 did not have his money tied up in the market.

Re: Mixed Feelings

This sounds familiar. I also sold my GTE because I found that I could not be bothered to drive it enough. The increased value, the lack of creature comforts, and the general fussiness of car and owner....make it too much of a garage ornament (11 years, in my case). I was more willing to take all my ...

Re: Delicate Steve...

i am listening to the record sample, as we speak. Lovely stuff.

And having to work with PR matters in a large corporation...it is indeed amusing how many "online news outlets" simply regurgitate completely false reports and repost them as gospel.

Re: I have siiiiiiiiiiiiined !!!

There is more to the story. Not only was it wet n the morning of the Hillsborough concours, but i had a little too much to drink the night before. it was very difficult to get out of bed, and my wife protested rather strongly. You see.....i was at this party, and it was quite an affair. Many automot...

Re: I have siiiiiiiiiiiiined !!!

i am good for a round of drinks, and penannce has been recited. Not to mention that a bigger garage will bring something vintage back, one day. A C4, a 246 Dino, or even an Espada (yes, I am the one person who likes them) will lure me back. For now...a Caddy will not make me miss carbs and drum brak...

I have siiiiiiiiiiiiined !!!

I have lived about a decade with the gte. What a fun ride. Lots of miles, car shows, drove the beast to work, on the track, and we bonded when i had to fix and improve her. Alas, san francisco bay area traffic, my short commute, poorish usability of such a vintage ride, and an itch for something new...

Re: stupid is as stupid does

--i drive with the windows UP in the newish maserati. A couple of taunts or challenges from individuals who clearly forgot to take their Valium taught me that... it is better that way. --The old Ferrari seems to slide by traffic unnoticed, perhaps due to the silver color. --The 1967 Caddy convertibl...

Re: The Art of Racing In The Rain

cute book, and in places... quite sad. It has been quite popular, often "featured" at Barnes and Noble. I grabbed it for my transatlantic flight a few months ago. It was way better than trying to watch Avatar on the 19in screen. A classic series of the genre is the BS Levy work, centered on the adve...

Re: 3787GT

does not make any sense. Something must have gone sideways in between the resto and the donation of engine. The car is right next door to me, as well. BTW, I finally convinced the california dmv to let me have black plates on my 1963 GTE. It took 3 tries, because the first two times...the sacramento...

Re: GTE model cars

One day soon....I will catalog and photograph. I have one of the large 1/18 scale ones. I had it made to match my car (silver/black). The other rare ones are battery operated ones (not r.c, but old school cable). The friction ones by Bandai appear fairly often. I do believe we raise each others' pri...
