Re: Looking for GTE window crank(s).
Try Fred Petroske (petroske@tds.net) in NY -- but he can be expensive.

Re: Ferrari 250 GTE Ashtrays
Thanks Tom -- I've located one ashtray and obtained two emblems from Black Barts. I'm in need of one more ashtray and if anyone knows where I might obtain one I would be grateful I also need the dome light cover for my interior light.

Ferrari 250 GTE Ashtrays
Guys - my ashtrays have been lost my the first body shop that worked on my 330 America. I've located two more (used) but one has a single hole in the lid to accommodate the emblem, while the other has two holes. I hope someone can tell me how many holes should be in the lid and confirm if the correc...

Tom - great ... add them to the list of parts you're getting ready to send me -- provided I can afford them
Your first check went out yesterday.

Re: jack plug
Actually, I was going to buy them (mine have come up missing) -- is Parker Hall (Kilimanjaro Designs) or someone else a better source for these?

Re: Trim rings for Ferrari 330 America headlights
Sloper - check out www.ebay.com and search on "250 GTE" as there is a set of headlight trim rings for $19.00 USD.

Re: 250 GTE in IT
A 1962 GTE for 110,000 Euro's (about $145K, excluding shipping/import) and the car is probably in #4 condition and in need of restoration (figure $12K for interior and $25 paint just for cosmetics). That suggests these cars continue to quietly inch upward in price/value. That's good to hear for many...

Anyone need a spare hood? Its straight and ready for primer/paint (no trim or latches included). Make a reasonable offer.

Re: 365 GTC/4 Opinions
Michael - a superb write up. Sounds like finding a nicely sorted/maintained car and then removing the smog gear (perhaps not needed under EPA/DOT 25 year exemption rule) and exposing the velocity stacks produces a nice performer that looks great and is fun to drive. If I decided to part with the 330...

365 GTC/4 Opinions
I was wondering if Michael or other GTC/4 owners might weigh in with their opinions as it relates to: * Reliability (maintenance costs, oil burn, rate of breakdown, guage/switch issues, etc.) * Driveability (seating position, turning radius, acceleration/braking, handling, etc.) * Driving impression...

Re: 330 America (#5061) 99% Finished
I like the advice of several of the guys suggesting I drive it a bit (I'll find some roads without too much drama) and see what happens. Don't get me wrong, after 5 years of waiting -- it feels like a dream to think the car will be in my garage in a matter of weeks. We'll see .... Regarding price? D...

Re: 330 America (#5061) 99% Finished
Timo/Pete - you guys make good points. Maybe I'm a bit more transparent on a car forum than most -- but there's always some great opinions out there if people will just ask. As I've been surveying my two garages, I've been doing some soul searching as to which cars I hold onto "just because I can" a...

Re: 330 America (#5061) 99% Finished
Rudy - correct, a sale of the Ferrari funds both a charitable gift and a small loan on the OSCA. Ah -- but that's the problem, people make assumptions because that's fast/easy. Look, I don't want to be confrontational -- that's not the point. We're all car enthusiasts sharing memories, experiences, ...

Re: 330 America (#5061) 99% Finished
Timo - so I guess you are now the official judge of "car guys?" Glad to meet you. I guess I should share with you that I made a decision to donate $150,000 to a charitable cause recently for which I'm willing to sacrifice my Ferrari to do it. Does that render me no longer a car guy -- or does it mak...
